Best Settings for Dreamstation

Post by Usman » Sun Apr 19, 2020 11:01 am

Hello People
I am really thankful that you people have always helped me. I am here with new topic. I am using Philips Dream station auto cpap. So as i was not a regular user because i was not getting used to it. But now i have forced myself to use daily. The problem is that I am too lazy to wash mask and refill tank daily and then dry it. Anyway so far in last one what I have experienced that my average AHI is 30-35.
The lowest which I have noticed is 9. And to be honest I am feeling really good and fresh throughout the day and my day time sleepiness is also very much minimized, keeping in my mind my initial AHI was 70 when I was tested for OSA. I have noticed when I am on Side sleeping position my snoring is completely eliminated but on my back i still snore, not as much loud as before but still i snore and my breathing also stops. But on side position no snoring. and my periodic breathing average is 1 to 10 percent.

So I told all this history just to know by someone who is expert of dreamstation and OSA things below.

1- Should I use A flex or C flex and what settings 1,2 or3?
2- Should I use Smart Ramp option?
3- Should heating be adaptive or constant?
4- Is preheat a good thing?
5- Any other settings you would recommend?

Sometimes at middle of night I just wake up and throw my mask away. I also want to know how to get rid of this ?

Questions 1 through 4....personal choice. Whatever feels good to you.

Question 5..would need to see exactly what is going on using the detailed reports available from the software to have any chance of making an educated response.

And Dream Mapper App is not available in my region so I cannot get a report from SD card. Is there any other easy way ?
