Vendors and large order discounts

My wife and I each have a Flexible Spending Account through our employers. In case you didn’t know you are allowed to have a FSA for each person, and you can use those accounts for FSA eligible purchases for anyone.. We are going to use the max amount ($2750) and at the end of the period (our period starts in June) spend any amount that would be lost (anything above $500) on glasses, and CPAP supplies. If I have a large amount to spend, let’s say $2,000, that could buy me about 20 masks.

Do you know of any vendors that are willing to negotiate a discount? I would think a smaller mom and pop shop would be more open to negotiation because they are the ones usually processing the orders, versus a place like Apria where employees have less ability to make such a decision.

An FSA account automatically gives you a discount on everything
because all the monies are NOT TAXED.
I wish the program were available to retired people.
Oh, and Cpap.com will MATCH PRICES--which is pretty darn sweet.

If you don't have a backup CPAP machine, buy a new one to use and keep your current machine as a backup.

Masks last a long time....20 masks would last me 20 years with and occasional cushion replacement

Don't forget when you order large bulk purchases will you use them all? You may find a mask that you like better or need a new machine that is incompatable with the supplies you have purchased and end up with a closet full of replacements that you can't use.
