I manage just fine with air drying my supplies. Wash in the AM, dry by PM

When I wash my hose (periodically) I do it in the morning and it is hardly ever dry by bedtime. My mask etc. is usually dry but not always. I wouldn't spend $159.00 for one of these but lately have seen a couple of new ones (sealed boxes) advertised in the $50+ range and was just thinking about it. I know it's rather large but I could keep it in the garage and dry everything in about an hour or so. I'll do a search here and see if I see any negatives or positives about it.

Explain to me why the hose needs to be dry...as soon as you turn on your CPAP, humid air starts going through it and it's wet again. Personally..I don't know why anyone washes them. Nothing goes through it but filtered room air. The same air you breathe all day.

Maybe that's because, being rational isn't a requirement for having Sleep A[nea. I wish it was because than less people would have Sleep Apnea. Jim

How much moisture is in the hose after a day's drying? Do you hang it up so it can gravity drain out of both ends?

This time of year, I hang our masks and strap covers on our patio. That portion of the patio is covered and stays in the shade but gets plenty of air circulation. During the winter or inclement weather, I simply hang them over the dryer as my wife does the laundry. I wash everything right after breakfast and they are always dry by bed time.

Newbe here. Just getting back into being a CPAP user after giving it up in 2016 after losing significant weight and not thinking I needed it any longer. A recent sleep study indicated that I still have obstructive sleep apnea, so here I am. I used to own a Soclean, but didn't want to go down that route again. I just bought one of these Hurricanes retail, received and used it today. I really like the convenience it offers and not having to worry about allowing enough time for my equipment to dry. The unit is smaller than it looks on line, quality looks very good, however in reality I think it is realistically worth about $89-$99 retail, not the $159 I paid. Like everything else, hang the word "CPAP" in front of something and the price goes up triple. If you can get a new unit for $50 I would pounce on that. I washed all my equipment and it dried everything with the exception of my headgear in 30 min. I had to run the headgear another 30 and that came out dry as well. It has timed settings for 15, 30 and 60 min and a fitting in the unit to attach your hose to that flows heated air through. Hope that helps.
