Strap help. causes migraines

Post by Tkat » Fri Jul 17, 2020 2:25 pm

Can someone help me with finding a strap that won’t cause migraine? The strap going across the base of my skull is what is killing me.
Thank you

Look at Padacheek.com - they have various things, including padding for straps, and it does work, but in any case don't overtighten because it can even create small leaks etc... and doesn't allow the mask silicone to inflate properly when needed.

As Julie stated, the pada cheek strap covers will solve your problem. I have the same issues. My headgear recently gave out, so I am using a new one. When I first start using a new headgear, I leave the strap covers off, for a few nights, because the headgear starts to stretch out, and I have to retighten the headgear 2 or 3 times during the night until it finds it's happy place. I leave the strap covers off, because they interfere with me making adjustments when I am half asleep. I can really tell the difference not wearing the strap covers..... outch!

Try a mask with straps in a different place. look at Resmed P10, and Swift FX Nano.

may i offer an alternative to a chin strap?

try a firm foam cervical collar. can be found at the major drugstore chains. also, if you don't want to go out to any during these crazy times, can be found on amazon.

here-

good luck!

How about the Bleep mask? No straps at all.
Oscar software is available at https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/

Or the Tap Pap, which uses a moldable mouth guard to support the pillows.
There is also the Pap Cap Plus, which uses an adjustable cap, like a surgical cap,
to replace many styles of headgear.

I am not sure but I think the Tap Pap is gone

I was looking for information about it and aside from a few places that have stock it is listed as discontinued.

I also can't find airway management's website.
