I would try two things:

Try removing cookies again.
Try a different browser for a bit. Try Chrome and see if the problem moves with your change of browser.
I did try removing the cookies again several times last night.

I don't have Chrome...I have IE which I hate and I don't think I should have to change browsers. I have always used FireFox without problems. I don't really feel like messing with installing Chrome or doing anything else right now because I don't believe the problem is me. I have other more pressing issues in my life right now and I just don't have the mental energy last night to go hunting. My mom is worse. The robot thing will just have to wait. It's simply the least of my headaches right now.
It was meant as a test to accumulate data, not a permanent fix. So far, all reported issues are with firefox users, including now jimbud, ChunkyFrog and yourself.

The timing is such that something must have changed at the host for the forum (not cpap.com ... the IT host) ... but they may not even have a clue yet. If we can pinpoint that this only happens with firefox, that's a big clue.

OK, I downloaded firefox for a test. Not sure if it'll prove anything though...

So far, no different.

Thanks for trying.

So, not browser specific.

At any rate, time to get IT involved again, sigh

Maybe I 've been banished.
It took over 8 tries to get into a thread--the damn robot page pops up--only digs down further.
I have to pull up a new window until one finally works.
I even rebooted my tablet--almost hopeless . . .
Robot, robot, robot, robot. Ad infinitum. It gets very old.
Maybe the virus hates high post numbers.
At some point, I may have to just give up.
(Hungry, need breakfast--no flies indoors)

Howdy,

Thanks for the updates. I have been testing sending PMs and some of the actions you guys are mentioning and I am not seeing the same issues.

@Pugsy and Chunkyfrog - I will forward this to IT to see if they can look more at your account settings.

Thanks Carolyn but to be clear...it's not just myself and Chunkyfrog having these issues.

Others are having same issues they just didn't make it clear...like

I've been messing around a bunch...using Firefox on a mac, and no problems. Really glad to see that the forum's speed's gone back to normal, the long pauses weren't fun. Maybe I haven't put in enough time, though. Not sure I'm going to stay with the Firefox browser, might go back to Edge, faster and lighter on resources at this point.

Okay...so last night I did a clearing out of my browser cookies and cache to see if it made the robot go away.
It did not but it sure messed up my log in on all my other sites that I need to go to and I won't be doing that again. What a pain when my banking website doesn't recognize my computer.....geeezzzz. It creates more than just a need to log in and re-enter the password again to websites. Lots of extra work and it didn't fix the problem.

I am no longer getting the double post thing but the I am not a robot page is frequent and sometimes it involves the dreaded captcha images.
Also still getting the error page.
Sometimes clicking on the robot check works and sometimes I get in a perpetual loop where it keeps popping up and won't let me go forward so I have to close everything and then come back.

Speed is fine though.

Anyone else having issues with the robot thing? I know ChunkyFrog and Jimbud....anyone else?

A few minutes ago the robot notice would not go away, so I did the routine and fresh forum page returned.
Since then I have had no problems. Fast clean reloads. :D
Hope it stays like this.

Just thought I would update. Hope y'all are having the same experience.

What do you mean by "the routine"? In other words, what might ChunkyFrog and Pugsy try?

Translation:
I took the test.
I checked off the traffic lights.
Then the CAPTCHA gave me a little green check mark in the little box, then after a short pause I was sent back to the forum, fresh and ready.

How do you do it?

I may have celebrated too soon.
Had two robots in four reloads.
We will see going forward.

Spoke too soon, started getting the "are you a human" things, couple per posting. Have switched to Edge browser and I'll see how that goes. So far so good.
