Sounds good. Waiting to hear from you Pugsy.
Okay...compare an almost 2 year old silicone cushion to a brand new cushion. A bit yellow as I expected and very minimal cloudiness.
Can you get us a picture of yours?

While I was at it I did take it apart and change the filter on the bikini thong. The filter I used was the cheap generic mesh like filter and not the more dense hypoallergenic filter. I didn't try to deconstruct this one. Just cut a piece to size and stuck it on and trimmed around the edges. It doesn't deconstruct well..the hypoallergenic filter I normally use will deconstruct into layers a bit. I think a lot will depend on the cpap filter that is used. I am not afraid to use the full density of this filter. I have used it before crammed up and wired tight around the vent holes before I got the bikini holder thingy. I will use it tonight...if I have a problem I will let everyone know but I don't anticipate any problems. There are a lot more vent holes available than is technically or engineer spec for adequate carbon dioxide cleaning out.

The hypoallergenic filter is on the left...the other 2 are different brands of the generic mesh like filters.

At the last minute I decided against using gauze layers and just used the full-thickness, regular filter material, cut to fit. In the past few days, I haven't noticed anything different in Oscar (TV, RR, MV, I:E, CAs) or in how I feel during the day. I do notice less of a breeze coming out of the vents (though that wasn't bad with the factory substance).

I wish the Bleep folks would sell replacement units for the bikinis and the white stuff, with the three pieces glued together so I could just pop a new unit on. For me, with a little bit of arthritis in my fingers, it's a fiddly business cutting out the new pieces and getting them in place using the bikini. Not by any means a deal-killer, but it's something they might want to think about.

At the very least, they should give instructions about what is safe or preferable to use as a replacement material.

I think that option might be on the horizon. Remind me later as I don't have time to go looking to see if it is yet available or contact Stuart and see if they are going to be offering it. I thought they were going to offer it as a separate purchase.
I gotta go get my roots done right now...beauty before work.

For some reason can’t upload the picture, however I’m not going to worry about the cloudiness. It works fine otherwise.

Thanks for this. I was getting ready to carve a new one out of one of those cotton pads that "those that wear makeup" tend to use to clean it off.
