Hooked on the Bleep system.
Hooked on the Bleep system.
I started CPAP in Feb 2020 and fought it every step of the way until I was lucky enough to find bleep in June. No details, I'm sure a lot of you have gone through this. Bleep eliminates the issues associated with traditional masks.
I was still having occasional problems getting my ports to click in easily and found a trick that helps me. I save old ports and click them in a couple of hours before bedtime.
When it's bedtime I pop them out and the newly applied ports seem to click right in easily. Probably all in my head but it seems to work for me!!

I have also been on the bleep mask now for almost two months. I love it and my leaks and AHI have never been better. It does take some practice to get the ports to attach well but once you do you don’t need to do any adjustments during the night.

I love my Bleep too! It's so wonderful to not have any straps on my face and head, and not having anything put pressure on my teeth. I can't imagine switching to anything else.

Well your trick worked great for me and my brother. Made it real easy to get them hooked. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Hooked on the Bleep system.
I was wondering what everyone thinks about the new vent diffuser? I prefer it to be open so I took it off because it didn't have time to dry.
I think I will just leave it off.

Re: Hooked on the Bleep system.
Definitely a preference thing. If I feel any air moving out wakes me up ... left over from the last mask, so a diffuser is important to me.
Sleep loss is a terrible thing. People get grumpy, short-tempered, etc. That happens here even among the generally friendly. Try not to take it personally.
Re: Hooked on the Bleep system.
I can do without the diffuser but prefer not to as a lot of the time I sleep in a position where vented air bounces off something and usually back into my face which I find annoying.
So I have been using some sort of diffuser from day one when I started using the Bleep over 2 years ago.
The Bikini thing...just a nicer diffuser holder for me.
Strictly personal preference if you want to use any sort of diffusing system or not.
Though I don't know why you worry about moisture accumulating in the filter held by the diffuser bikini thing...because just as soon as you start exhaling your own breath it's going to get moist again because your own breath contains moisture.
Choice is yours though. Doesn't really matter what the rest of us prefer or not.
