Looking at an air curve 10 VAUTO. Is that an auto adjusting BiPAP machine? Can I also use it as an auto adjusting cpap if I wanted.

Yes to both questions.

BiPap is a Respironics marketing term for a bilevel machine....often used generically but it really is a Respironics model name.

AirCurve 10 is the current model name for ResMed bilevel machines.

To make it function like a regular apap...just set PS to 0 and you get single pressure.

Pugsy you are such a wealth of knowledge and such a great asset to the forum! I just re started my therapy after taking a two year hiatus because I could not get used to it. This time I am determined and I have been on it a month and already feel like I have more energy in the morning even though I have mild sleep apnea one test was 6 another was 9 ahi. Right now I am using apap on the dreamstation with 9.5 as a min and 15 as max. Usually my AHI is about 2.5, If I wanted to try it in auto bipap mode, what would be the best settings you would recommend?

Need to know if you are using EPR or not to suggest auto bilevel settings.
If not using EPR then just set minimum EPAP to 9.5 and max IPAP to 15 and PS to 0.

EPR comes off IPAP on the AutoSet to give you EPAP
but PS gets added to EPAP to give you IPAP with the AirCurve bilevel.
Hard to wrap your brain around it at first but once you do you will understand.
