Post by ru2on » Mon Mar 29, 2021 6:32 pm

Hi just bought a Dreamstation Go Auto with Humidifier. $800 cheaper than if I bought it local and set it up .. but now i have to set it up  .
A little daunted , I have an Airfit N30 mask to use with it . Any hints/advice before I stuff it up

Go to the Apnea Board and see if they have the set-up manual available

Is this the same thing as the provider guide/manual? I got a user manual and a Provider guide (which says on the front remove this before giving device to the patient!. I can access everything but something is not right . When i breathe in the nasal mask is coming into my face. This is not happening on my Resmed main machine when i use with the same mask . I have it set between 6 and 15 ., but obviously i must be doing something wrong Image

Are you saying the mask in being sucked in to your face when you inhale?

Not saying your situation has anything to do with mine, but I also used a N30 mask and had some issues with the Go.

Yes both set to that.

Resmed auto airsense for her

I have given up on the Resmed nasal N30 with the dreamstation Go , i put both machines together and checked both one after other with the same mask .. no problem with the N30 on my Resmed Autosense 10 .. So searched and found an old Phillips Dreamwear under nose mask i have and tried that on with the Dreamstation and No problems .. So decided to use the Dreamwear Mask last night..
There was no Problem with the fit or leakage , I still dont feel like im getting quite enough air and it feels like there should be more air to push out /not sure how to fix that .
But biggest problem was in the middle of the night (because a bloody snake was in my chook pen) i took my mask off and when I had rescued the chickens (except 1 😢) put my mask back on it started gurgling bubbling and water spraying out everywhere. My humidity was on 5 i think and Aircon on cold so i guess thats the problem ..
Think I am a little concerned that the Dreamstation is giving me issues because i had a trial one from another company for a week and had no issues whatsovever. ..but they wanted $900 more for the machine !

They wanted $2600 for the Dreamstation Go and humidifier (Au $)

I got it online for approx $1800 with a Mask worth $170 thrown in .

Always prefer to shop locally and would have paid more to get it local .. but not $900 and they were not prepared to negotiate at all.

Thanks read your post with interest , i did manage to use mine all night last night but have changed my n30 to the dreamwear under nasal mask and that helped a lot , still feels weird with the inhale and exhale before i fall asleep . How did you find the resmed mini
