Philips recall priority update

Post by Jlfinkels » Wed Mar 09, 2022 5:05 pm

Philips has a new web interface into their device replacement management process that allows users to prioritize their place in the queue for a replacement. It is the same link as before but it now has a link to the prioritization process. Note that you will not get an email confirming your update, but according to Philips it is noted in their database.

Thanks Pugsy for adding it to the Philips recall sticky,

Thanks for the link, Jeff. It was very useful, in that it confirmed I'm still in the queue. As for when I'll get a replacement. . .

So, what criteria gets one pushed ahead in line?

Once you enter your information, there's an option to "add prioritization" info which asks questions about your health.

Bummer it says I am not matched with a DME provider yet, my original DME has shut down and I get supplies through the VA for the past 8 years.

Apparently, respironics is restricted to delivery by "authorized" dealers.
Why is the VA not a qualifying dealer?
You really need to ask the VA that question.

I am not matched either and wonder if I will have an issue because I bought mine used from a private seller. The site and the email I received has a lot of mumbo jumbo talk that sounds like they have no idea when anyone will get a replacement or even if it will happen!

The VA sent out a message to us that if we have one of these effected machines to call Philips our self to get on the recall list. Philip's did not ask me where I got this machine from. My machine was a used one from my original DME that I purchased from them and shortly after they shut down.

So, your machine was USED, sold out of (or behind) a recently closed DME.
I wonder if it was "rescued" from a dumpster by a hustling ex-employee,
after it was written off as "destroyed" by the owners of the closed DME.
Respironics may not be bound to replace a used machine.
You could be on your own for a replacement-new or used.
Try to avoid Respironics . . .
Who knows what nasties are still up their sleeves.

If you have not talked to a Phillips representative and answered a questionaire about the recall please do it. I just got off of the phone with one. I called out of frustration. She said that the recall is scheduled by the end of the year but if you want priority you must contact them. They will not contact you. I was given this website to check up on my situation. www.phillips-oasis.sedgwick.cloud

From the Philips support person I spoke with about it, they gave me the web site link I posted earlier which takes you to the priority questionnaire. No phone call is necessary to access it to update your place in queue.

BTW, Philip Sedgwick is an astrologer and has nothing to do with Philips Respironics, and the link you gave points to an invalid address. Philips has only one "ell" in it, so not quite sure what the link is supposed to take you, especially with a ".cloud" ending. Please check what link they gave you as it may be a different questionnaire than I was given.

No this was Hospital sleep study and DME. I knew the lady that sold them to me and I wrote the check to the hospital, my insurance was paying for supplies but I purchased the machine for a spare and camping. When they upgraded to newer machines they would sell the machines cheep, my first machine was $25. and my second one was $50.

Z, I don’t doubt it but it does not work on my browser. Of course I do have a number of security features and extensions turned on, so it could be something I’m using that is blocking me. Philips did hire Sedgwick to handle the recall claims, so the we’re just missing something in the URL.

More info from Philips explaining the recall/replacement process can be found at https://www.usa.philips.com/healthcare ... ll-process. Apologies to those outside the US, but I don’t have that link.
