Cap for Daughter

Post by Sheriff Buford » Sat Mar 26, 2022 4:58 am

Hey guys! My daughter told me the other night that she is having trouble with her mask straps interfering her hair while sleeping. I told her to check into a cap of some sorts. I thought the thick cotton caps would be impracticable.

What kind of caps do you guys that wear them use? Thank you for your help!

Sheriff

A thin, lightweight rayon knit works for me.
My hair is growing back very soft and fine,
and the chemo cap holds my p10 headgear, even now.
Rayon is more breathable than cotton--especially a knit.

Hmm sleeping with a cap on is kinda wierd. I don't use one but im a guy. I can see how girls with long hair could have issues with mask and strap fit thought.

Yea... she is at the end of her current headgear. The velcro doesn't stick. Whenever she reattaches it, it messes up her hair. Got another headgear coming. Sheriff

Only used masks without headgear for several years now, but back in the day (prepare yourself for this mental image) I used a pair of pantyhose worn upside down on my head and used the legs as a wrap or cut them off. Also options found in ethnic hair care aisle in nearly every store, usually called a durag, skull cap, or stocking cap, depending on the style she is looking for.

Also try welding supply places.
You gotta wear something under the welding helmet--sparks sting!

I wore a Buff under the headgear for years.

I wear this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R7439SN?ps ... ct_details

It doesn't entirely cover my head, but it goes under the headgear. And I can use it to listen to white noise to help me sleep.
