Deviated Septum but no Sleep Apnea

Those of you with a deviated septum, mild or severe, how have you found relief from your condition? I know there are a lot of options out there. For someone who snores but does not have sleep apnea, only deviated septum, would a cpap machine actually help keep the airways open? Will it prevent snoring? I’ve been reading that it can actually make it worse?

Backstory, I know I snored a lot before cpap and I do not anymore.

saying this without being a smartass; when you get right down to it, that's ALL a cpap machine does. it keeps the airways open, when it's properly titrated.

so, yeah, i think it would help.

but what do i know?

Cpap keeps your throat open, not your nose.

If you are asking if using cpap will fix a deviated septum....no it will not.
CPAP can't fix physical problems within the nose itself.

I have a diavation on one side and it works for me.

Will it prevent snoring? I’ve been reading that it can actually make it worse?

I am interested to learn where you read that?

Well, from my reading I learned that the snoring is not caused by the deviation itself, rather the throat muscles. So, I'm guessing that since the deviation limits the airflow, it somehow makes the throat muscles more relaxed? Either way my main question was if the CPAP would help someone who has deviation, but no sleep apnea.
