Auto not Auto

Post by RN Ricky » Thu Jul 15, 2010 5:13 am

I have a ResMed S8 Auto and the auto treatment air flow will not shut off when the mask is removed. This happened in January and I took it to Apria and after a 1/2 hour the RT (real trouble ) stated that after the mask is removed it will still keep blowing a small amount of air to cool the machine. I told him that I knew that but it will not shut off the treatment flow of air. We went round and round about this until he finally took the unit back and worked on it. The charge was 60 bucks! He did fix it but I am not going back. He is the RT that told me it was illegal to have a user manuel.

Any help from all of you knowledgeable forum folk??

How long have you had the machine? If it was less than two years, I would have thought that it would have been covered under the warranty .

Another reason why so many of us are skeptical of the brick and mortar DMEs.

Thanks sometimes I don't think about the obvious.
