cheyne Stroke Respiration

Post by semreka » Tue Aug 31, 2010 1:43 pm

I am observing time to time cheyne stroke respiration .
The period is 6 minutes in maximum and it occurs once or twice a night .
Are these results in dangerous range?
What should be the possible reason of this??
THank you All.
God Bless.

I would advise taking the "observations" (I assume this is off a download of somekind from the machine) to your sleep physician and let them look at it.

If you had Cheyne Stokes breathing, it would happen all the time. While running sleep studies, I've seen what looks like that at times but that is usually due to a mask leak, discomfort, or something bothering or making the individual uncomfortable. It could be many things. If you can, check your leak rates around those times...that may shed some light on it. Let us know how it goes. Good luck!
