REMstar M series HELP!!!!!

Post by jon20013 » Wed Mar 02, 2011 8:24 pm

I have been using my Remstar M series for about 5 years and its brilliant!

I work overseas and 2 days ago, when changing hotel rooms I forgot to empty the humidifier and the unit was flooded for several hours while I was at work. I took it apart, dried it, took a hair dryer to it but it doesnt work now, the lights illuminate but motor doesnt run.
Unfortunately I am on 28 day rotation and in Kazakhstan. I need my breathing device DESPERATELY, havent slept in 2 days (sleep apnea).... can anyone offer any suggestions / guidance? I am not scheduled to go back home until 20 March and am really afraid of potential medical consequences of not having my equipment!!! PLEASE!!! Brand new user in this forum.

Wrap it in cloth, then put it in a plastic bag with uncooked rice. That will help it dry out.

Whether the unit will work after being dried out is another question.

Sleeping on your stomach or side might help.
