OT: What is your anti-aging regimen?

Post by SleepyT » Sun Aug 14, 2011 6:20 pm

I'm curious as to what you do (or don't do) on a somewhat regular basis to delay the effects of aging. Things such as taking supplements, exercise, etc.....and which ones seem to be doing some good for you. Obviously, for this forum, getting good sleep is key! But specifically I wonder what else is part of your normal routine....what you swear by.

CPAP and a good vitamin/mineral supplement. Both things, religiously.

I ride my bike 4-5Kmiles a year.
Take a number of vitamin supplements.

I think young.

I walk 6 miles in the morning Monday through Friday. I have a good 1 and 1/2 hour work out in the Gym on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I Play golf twice a week. I spend 4 hours a week on yard work around the house. I eat foods that are high in protein and low in carbohydrates. I hang around people with a positive attitude and I get at lest 7 hours of sleep with my apap.

The trick is to stay active mentally and physically.

Thanks RG and Carbonman...but which supplements? Fish oil? 5HTP? Anything other than a multi-vitamin. And Carbonman....was that 'thousands' of miles?!!! Whew!

For me:
Most importantly, Keeping in touch with God, daily.

Also, cpap therapy, multivitamin supplement, Omega3 krill oil, daily exercise, keeping the romance alive in the marriage, and ENJOY retirement!

I deny my age and refuse to observe my birthdays. Still 39 after all these years!

That's not such a bad idea... considering the fact that much of it is in your head anyway. Some hints on how you convince yourself you are 39 would be appreciated.

Hard to do when you have a 35 year old son.

Yes, it would be hard if my 35 yr old son or 33 yr old daughter lived nearby. . . .
