Eson mask

Post by HiFay » Sun Aug 25, 2013 10:46 am

I have been trying to use an Eson mask for several weeks. I do not have the head gear tight but it hurts the top of my nose and under my nose and it leaks. Does anyone have any helpful tips for this mask or suggestions for other masks? I have a week to change this one. I do not like it, but I wonder if I will like anything else.

Thanks

Since you need to make this work SOON, you can make a homemade mask liner
by cutting one out of a Viva towel or a clean dry baby wipe.
Make it about a half inch bigger around than your cushion
and just barely big enough for your nose (it will stretch a little)
If this works, you can make some out of old soft t-shirt fabric,
or order a washable microfiber one from Pad-a-Cheek.
It may be possible you are wearing the headgear to tight; loosen it way up, lie back,
and adjust with the airflow on full, allowing the cushion to inflate.
Let it ride like a balloon while the air pushes the cushion onto your face.

I see I did not add that I have already bought a gel nose piece that helps a little with the pain at the top of the nose but makes it leak more.
I tried the paper towel idea but it did not help. I might not have cut it big enough. I will try again.
I called last Tuesday and ordered 6 free RemZzzs. I have not received them yet.
I have seen Pad-a-Cheek. Now that I know that works I will see about ordering one.
I have the mask loose. I really do not know what to do. I went back to tech and I was sold the gel nose piece and was told about the RemZzzs but they do not sell them where I go.
Do you all use Eson?

Send it back ASAP while you can still get your money back. There are plenty of choices out there and it's trial and error to find them. No mask, once adjusted properly, should hurt. Have you seen the just-released ResMed Swift FX NANO?
