Getting Sleepyhead to work with CMS50e Pulse Oximeter

Post by davebolin » Thu Jun 12, 2014 7:57 am

I got a CMS-50e pulse oximeter thinking it would work with sleepyhead but after 2 days of trying I can't make it work at all. I says it's connected but nothing registers in sleepyhead. I also tried importing a recorded session but Sleepyhead only imports .spo files and the oximeter's SPO2 assistant software only saves files in the .spo2 format. I tried changing the file extension to .spo but it just showed up as blank in Sleepyhead. Does anyone have an Idea on how to make this work?

They changed the file format from the 50D+ to the 50E and SleepyHead won't read the new file format. I have a 50EW and am hoping that Mark et.al. will get the newest version coming out soon to read the new format.

Thanks!
I was wondering if it was something I was doing or might have missed. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens.

What his screen name of the poster (Electrical Engineer, was it Papit?) who posted lots of posts with instructions on how to arrange the CMS50E data into SH to have them both graphically synchronized.

Here it is:
