Using Sudafed with CPAP

Post by Jerseyguy » Mon Mar 12, 2018 4:32 pm

Since it really dries you out would you have a problem with the CPAP even with a humidifier?. Should I turn it up?

I guess it depends on just how uncomfortable or dry the sudafed makes your mucosa.
This is going to be another one of those YMMV things. You just need to do it yourself to see what happens.

I take Allegra and Singulair. Plus Flonase. I haven’t had any problems so far.

I take Zyrtec every morning and Singulair every night, and there are nights I still need Sudafed to keep the congestion at bay. My humidifier's set at 1 and that works for me.

I can't use Sudafed anytime other than early morning...it keeps my brain buzzing and can't sleep. kinda like caffeine I think
for some people. I'm sensitive to coffee too and can't drink it...ever.

Where did you hear that nonsense? *shrug* Benadryl is an OTC antihistimine that helps with sleep.

If a OTC drug makes you too drugged cut the dose, or use one that works best for you. I have a fine pill cutter. Jim
