I have not had your problem but have had four Dreamstations in approximately 18 months as they all kept making 'clicking" noises and it was very annoying.
I kept sending them back and I kept getting a new machine in return.

Yesterday I meet with my RT and she agreed that the data didn't look good and could not explain why it was acting that way, so she gave me a new machine.

The good news is that the new machine works as expected and when i was able to sleep, I slept well and the system seemed to work as I expected. So yep, a defective DreamStation.

Unfortunately I didn't get much sleep because one of my dogs got me up since she had to go out, she slipped on the ice and torqued her leg really bad, so she was crying and groaning in pain. I gave her some pain meds and sat up with her until the pain subsided and she finally fell asleep. Thankfully i have a great vet, who saw her first thing this morning. thankfully it appears to just be a sprain, no breaks or dislocations, so pain meds, rest and monitor, no stairs or jumping, not that she does much of that at 13 years old anyway, but she is still fairly active for a Black Lab of this age.

Thanks for letting us know. These machines aren't perfect...there are lemons out there and they can go bad or fail at anytime even if they were fine for a while.
Glad you got it sorted out.

No problem at all, hopefully this will help someone else as well. I've done more digging and it seems like there are more lemons with the dreamstations. I think the challenge is getting the DME's to listen when you fell there is a problem. If I didn't know about this forum and didn't have so much data to compare against I'd have thought something was wrong with me or like many people I'd rip it off my face and stop using it.

What I've learned is that while CPAP is annoying, it really does help and I feel so much better being on CPAP and getting good sleep.

Thanks for your help.

Shannon is feeling a lot better with some pain meds in her, thankfully it's nothing major and she's putting a little wight on her paw and she eat dinner.

Interesting that you posted this. It must be a quality control problem.

My DreamStation is just about 4 months old and my doctor's office thinks a sensor has broken on my BiPAP. It is not reporting all of the data. Working fine one day and then not the next. It is not the card, it is not the cellular modem. After investigating, Philips believes it is the actual machine, and will probably be sending out a new one next week.
Just wanted to update you on my DreamStation lemon. The machine will be replaced, and I am picking it up tomorrow. Took a little perseverance, but Philips sent a new one out.
