Re: First I've heard of it: Resmed N30i
As a Dreamwear user, this looks good to me. I can't use any gear that has the hose in the front, it just bugs me too much. The hose coming in on top of my head + a hose holder attached to my bed makes for very comfortable movements and sleep. Excited about this, can't wait for it to be available. Thanks for the post PR.

Re: First I've heard of it: Resmed N30i
I really like the DW cushion. It's the comfiest mask I've tried, seals best and the hose on top doesn't pull the mask sideways when I toss & turn. My only complaint is the "jet blast" from the vents. Knowing that Resmed does diffused-venting well, I really want to try one of these. Almost whipped out the HSA card on one from the Canadian vendor, but I just don't need a new one yet and $180 "shipped" gave me pause. But it's definitely on my radar...

Re: First I've heard of it: Resmed N30i
I have one. I'm new to the CPAP thing and I've had a Fisher & Paykel Eson 2 Nasal Mask .. claustrophobia got the best of me on that one... then I was given a Resperonics Dream Wear... wasn't bad.. but I toss and turn so much, i'd keep pulling it off my face and getting shot in the eye with air while sleeping..
my CPAP supplier then brought this thing out from the back, told me its a demo/prototype and it's pretty much the same as the Dreamwear, but, instead of going straight under the nose, it actually curls around the nose slightly to hold it in place. I still can't get used to having anything touching me, or specifically my face .. well. ever, but.. it doesn't come off as much.
The frame of it has your normal Velcro to tighten the nose piece, but the part that goes around the head is a stretchy rubber that can go around pretty much any headsize easily. Now, with that said.. there's a learning curve on how tight you have to put it.. it's insanely uncomfortable it it's too tight and if it's too loose, while comfortable, yeah air leaks.. won't shoot you in the face though. I've only had my machine for a couple weeks (plus a "trial" machine for a month prior to that) .. I'll sleep through the night if I get high, and feel good, but... Apnea.. with the mask on, i usually kill it in 2-3 hours.. So any get used to it suggestions from actual people, not just medical people who throw suggestions out that are just generic?
Overall.. 8/10 on the mask?...

Nice find! I was wondering why ResMed didn't go that way before. Hopefully it will be available on a broader bases soon. And keep the reviews coming please!

That is about $90 US. Add $20-30 for US shipping.....I wish we could get these down here!

By down here, do you mean US? I've had one for about 3 weeks, ordered from a CPAP shop in Montreal. This is the best mask out of the dozen I have tried.realshelby wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 9:35 amThat is about $90 US. Add $20-30 for US shipping.....I wish we could get these down here!

Still searching for the "right" mask.
Re: First I've heard of it: Resmed N30i
I don't know if ResMed puts the same restrictions on the Canadian online suppliers as they do with US online suppliers but if they do we can't order it from Canada and have it shipped to a US address. ResMed won't let them.realshelby wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 9:35 amThat is about $90 US. Add $20-30 for US shipping.....I wish we could get these down here!
Looks like the US is once again the last one on the totem pole to get it released to...they did the same thing with the Swift FX back in 2010. Went everywhere in the world but here first.
What you need is a "friend" in Canada to get you one and mail it to you.
I know I have mailed ResMed stuff to my friends in Canada often when we had it here first or the prices were hugely different with suppliers.

Re: First I've heard of it: Resmed N30i
If there is enough interest, I may consider this. The good thing here in Canada is a prescription is NOT required for masks (just machines typically...I know of at least one supplier who does not need a prescription for machines).Pugsy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 9:57 amI don't know if ResMed puts the same restrictions on the Canadian online suppliers as they do with US online suppliers but if they do we can't order it from Canada and have it shipped to a US address. Tried to order one from Monster, but they told me Canada Post is so backed up they won't take orders until sometime in late January. Probably a BS story, I was honest up front and told them I was asking about shipping to the States.

I just ordered one, but I'm in Canada.realshelby wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 1:42 pmTried to order one from Monster, but they told me Canada Post is so backed up they won't take orders until sometime in late January. There might be some truth to what they just said. Canada Post and their unionized workforce was recently involved in some work action and rotating strikes. They have since been legislated back to work. This did leave some serious backlog of undelivered parcels, particularly inbound and outbound international orders.
It does seem odd that they would turn down an order, instead of taking the order but informing there might be delay.

Re: First I've heard of it: Resmed N30i
I am a long term DW user (cushions and pillows) and have had the N30i for over a month now. My main reason for getting it was to see what it would do about some minor leak issues I had with the DW cushions and pillows. In this respect it worked about the same but I feel that If I can tweak how tight I make the mask it might be the best. The DW frame has a split strap at the back that can be adjusted to be narrow or wide. This is limited with the N30i but I could easily put a DW strap in to see what happens. This might be the deal maker!
I think that the frame of the N30i is far better than the Resmed, less likely to slip and less likely to move the nasal cushions when you sleep on your side.
The nasal cushion on the N30i is brilliant. While fully encompassing your nose it is very comfortable.
At the moment I am using the N30i because I really like how it feels.
EDIT: Just put the DW strap into the N30i and will see how it works tonight.

Well, they did do them one better--another size.palerider wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 9:47 pmLooks like they looked at the dreamwear and said "hmm... we can do better"

Sadly, none of the cushions works for my little froggy nose.
Squirts air right into my eyes.
I tried it for just a few minutes at the DME's-- I left with another P10.
