So your expectation in this conversation, is that people should read your posts in another conversation, just in case you say something in another conversation that might have relevance in this conversation?
even if you read what the anti-vaxxer is saying in that other post, it isn't very explanatory-

I'm way outside the definition of any group that would need one. We damaged an entire generation of youth with school closures so some olds could be first in line to get these shots and die a few years later. The damage to this country is beyond calculation.
good to know i'm so expendable.

After the smart people set up the program to help those with health problems,
our moronic governor ignored it all--and went for age only.
Guess who assured his own term limits.

Notice how he never addresses what's asked of him.

He still hasn't addressed my original question, in this topic or the other.

He just keeps moving the goal posts and posting strawmen arguments. He's just a nasty, hypocritical, conspiracy theorist anti-vaxxer.

I came across this many years ago. A copy has resided on my refrigerator door as a daily reminder :D

I haven't visited cpaptalk.com for a long time, mainly because my sleep apnea is under such spectacular control. But this site has been very helpful to me in the earliest times under treatment. So if I can repay the community, I would be happy to.

I am a physician, retired from practice but still licensed. I have been working on a volunteer basis in my Florida county delivering vaccines several days a week, often up to 300-350 doses a day. So if I can answer any vaccine questions that anyone has, just post them. Anything I say should be construed as general medical facts and not personal medical advice for any particular person.

Even though I don't live in Florida, thank you for doing that. There were several "retired" medical professionals helping out where we got our vaccinations.

Florida has set up a Medical Reserve Corps for disaster recovery emergencies, mostly designed for the aftermath of hurricanes. But they have really mobilized the MRC at the vaccination sites. Mostly, I volunteer at the RSW Airport Lee County vaccine site, but I have also driven to some very rural sites a few times.

There are many people who are allergic to penicillin and have now received COVID vaccinations without problems.
I'm one of those people. I don't go into shock, but I do get hives all over my body. Had no major problems with either shot.

My husband & I have had both Pfizer shots 3/12/21 for the 1st and 3/31/21 for the 2nd. It took a while for my state (Virginia) to get their registration system working right, but I got a message to update our registrations, did it, and I had our first appointment within 48 hours as part of group 1b. I watch periodically online with people still having issues. I wish it was smoother for everyone, and I'm glad we have at least this first set of shots to help us.

I am waiting for when my children can get the vaccines too (Age 13 & 10), and hope that it'll be available before next school year at least for my eldest. I may end up keeping my kids in virtual school until I can get them vaccinated.

I got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday; 24 hours later - no issues whatsoever. Not even soreness in the injection site. I must note, I started moving (exercising it) immediately after the injection. Looking at it, you cannot identify the place where the shot was made - no redness, no swelling, no visible hole - nothing. If I focus real hard, I could imagine I could feel something in the shoulder last night, but nothing worth mentioning. No other symptoms whatsoever. Looking forward to the next dose three weeks from now.

As always, YMMV! My daughter got it, too (frontline worker), and she had the bad luck (or was it being afraid and having shoulder muscles flexed?) of having some bruising on the injection site during her first dose, but she had no other symptoms. So far - so good!

Yesterday I got my second dose. Once again: no issues, no symptoms, nothing different than normal.

McSleepy
My wife got her Pfizer vaccine on Saturday. She has lived her life with the assumption that she is allergic to the penicillin group (we'll finally get this verified by some testing soon), but she did not have any adverse reaction to the vaccine. Looking forward to the second dose in three weeks.
