Call For Questions: Puritan Bennett's 425 (Mei-Mei Stark)

Post by forumadmin » Thu Sep 09, 2004 4:51 pm

We at cpaptalk.com are excited to offer you the chance to submit questions for inclusion in our coming interview with Mei-Mei Stark, Puritan Bennett's Sleep Therapy Product Manager.

The topic of our interview will be Puritan Bennett's new Bi-level, the KnightStar 425, the "bipap in a 420 box".

We will be gathering questions until the evening of September 20th. At that time we will compile the most popular, add a few of our own, and send them off!

In early October we will post her reply, as well as some sneek peek product pictures and information!

Bring on the questions!

Editors Note: We've extended our Call for Questions until the evening of September 20th. Thanks to everyone for your interest in this interview!

recording pulse oximetry

Post by rested gal » Thu Sep 09, 2004 10:28 pm

In addition to the way it works so well for me, I love the compact size of my Puritan Bennett 420E autopap. Does PB have any plans to add recording pulse oximetry capability to a future design?

Does the new 425 use the same motor as the other 420 series cpaps?

Is the 425 bilevel compatible with the Puritan Bennett Battery Pack.

How does the 425 bilevel turn on the upcomming integrated heated humidifier? Is there a seperate power switch to turn the humidifier on, or will it be controlled through the bilevel or cpap?

Will all earlier models of the 420 series work with the upcomming integrated heated humidifier?

Will this machine work on 110 and 220 volt? Is the plug for the wall the same as the other 420 machines?

backing off on exhalation

Post by rested gal » Tue Sep 14, 2004 11:17 am

Does PB have any plans for designing an autopap that can back off on each exhalation? Kind of like an autopap/bi-pap hybrid.

Color?

1. The snuggle hose and the Orion CPAP cater to a niche that aims to make CPAPs less "medical" looking and more colorful. Is this an area PB will focus any attention on in future CPAP and BiPAP releases? Why or why not?

2. Does the 425 come in different colors?
