Inspect your mask closely...

Post by CountingSheep » Mon Apr 27, 2020 12:50 pm

I just wanted to say make sure you check your mask closely. Only when I pulled gently on the silicone did I find that it was separating itself from the plastic frame. Fischer & Paykel Simplus.

I think I remember someone else writing about this problem a couple months ago.

wouldn't it show up on the read out? My dreamapper shows 100 % mask fit.

My Resmed Airfit head harness is tight.... blocked off ends where the pillow sits, and blew through hose connection is... no leaks. No visible cracks or separations. Hose is tight too.

Dreammapper is useless, get Oscar.

I was getting whistling noises and thought it was rainout but I suspect it may have been a bit of both... water whistling though the seal a bit. It was waking me up. I still like the mask though. It lasted nearly a year.
I will be a bit more careful washing it in future.
Oscar was showing mask leaks but Resmed wasn’t. The break in the seal wasn’t visible without a slight tug.

Dreammapper is dumbed down to the extreme. "mask fit 100%" doesn't really tell you anything other than "it wasn't terrible".

just delete it, and look at the leak line in Oscar.

Your question makes no sense.
post a chart, in your own thread.

I observed this problem with the Resmed Mirage Quatro full face mask.
Shamefully sloppy engineering!
I abandoned trying to make that POS work.

the leak rate scale, goes from 0 to 28 from top to bottom.... the vertical scale... on the left hand side. It looks like a measuring tape. what do the represent?

Since you appear unable to follow even the simplest of directions...

Hover your mouse on those leak numbers and what do you see pop up?

L/min.... liters per minute? Doesn't tell me much.

Palerider said focus on pressure curves and adjust minimum pressure based on that..... and not statistical numbers meaning AHI numbers, or pressure at a given time?

leak rate and pressure is what dictates minimum pressure ramp?
