Re: Midifinol, Melatonin and CPAP and Autistic
I wish it was that easy. If I change it myself I will have to give it back. I get it for free on that condition otherwise I can buy my own machine for about $2500 and I most definitely don't have that much money hidden under my pillow. Why they set that rule I have absolutely no idea.

Re: Midifinol, Melatonin and CPAP and Autistic
Yes. Modifinal. It's an APAP and it is not allowed to be changed from 13cm. I've discussed this many times with my sleep specialist and they refuse to do auto. I can change it myself. I know how to but just not allowed since my AHI is maintained at between 2-5 but I have had a few episodes 14-16. I ...

Midifinol, Melatonin and CPAP and Autistic
Hi all I have a bit of an odd one here. I have been on a Dreamstation with a wisp mask and heated humidifier for about 18 months now. I have been diagnosed as Severe Sleep Apnea with Hypersomnia I finally got approved for midifinol funding after 4 sleep studies (2 of them were the 48 hour ones where...

OSA with hypersomnia
Hi all. Just wondering if there are any of you out there with the same issues I have. I have OSA with an AHI of 46 without CPAP. I have been on CPAP 2 years now but still have excessive day time drowsiness on top of the OSA. I have just qualified for PBS for modifinil a powerful non amphetamine at a...

Re: Idiopathic Hypersomnia Diagnosis
Thanks jnk. Don't think there's any point putting up data. I've been on cpap for 13 months now and pressure is 13 and that has consistently kept me under 5 ahi. My ahi was 46 originally at diagnosis. I also have a routine of 10.30 - 11 pm to bed and 6.15 am rise and that changes very little. The las...

Idiopathic Hypersomnia Diagnosis
Hi all. I had my appointment with my sleep specialist today. I had an overnight sleep study done with an MSLT test on December 3 last year. Got the results today. Not good. I have been diagnosed with Idiopathic Hyersomnia along with my sleep apnea. There are several drugs available apparently to hel...

Re: SleepyHead query
I have SleepyHead and posted before with screenshots but I can't work out how to get some sort of report for a time period. Dreammapper allows it but it's all very generic and very little detail Sent from my Kogan Agora 8 using Tapatalk Dreamstation Auto Nasal Mask Pressure Setting at 9-20 cm H20. c...

SleepyHead query
Hi all. just wondering if there's any way to get reports from SleepyHead for a time period? I have an appointment with my sleep specialist tomorrow and I'd love to go armed to the teeth with data but the closest I can is dreammapper reports for. 14, 30, 60 or 90 days. Not very confident with that da...

Re: When will I feel rested?
Back. Slept about another 4 1/2 hours. That's a total of 12 1/2 total hours today. So, NOW I feel great. Very rested. But as I've been told I shouldn't need this much sleep. But I, myself, very much DO feel I need this much. The first seven-ish hours on the left were from about 11:30pm to about 7am...

Re: Rent to own in Australia (Melbourne) query
I'm on an assistance program. But without a health care card I can't be on it any longer. Apparently the so called wage I earn now is supposed to be good enough to get a $2000+ machine while feeding a family of 4 and paying top prices for medication for them because I have no health care card and pa...

Rent to own in Australia (Melbourne) query
Hi all This is for anyone in Australia. Hopefully Melbourne It looks like I might be losing my health care card which means the machine I have from the hospital may have to be given back. it's taken me 4 months to get 2 nights in a row with a 1.1 AHI reading and I'm hoping this will be a consistent ...

Re: Last two nights SleepyHead Data Best Minimum Pressure?
They will only allow CPAP fixed and it's only Philips. They gave me an auto model but I got blasted for changing to auto even though I was getting 30 AHI on the 9 cm fixed setting. The sleep specialist read 1 paragraph of the sleep study report to get the setting of 9 cm fixed from. When further on...
