Those of you that have improvised a liner: I went out and bought some flannel. Measured, and cut an appropriate shape for my mask.
Tried it out and it leaked like mad! I only used one layer of cloth - should I have used several?
I was hoping it would eliminate the contact irritation I've gotten, and improve the seal.

Most people use an old t-shirt, or that type of material.FrozenmamaBC wrote: ↑Sun Mar 11, 2018 10:52 pmThose of you that have improvised a liner: I went out and bought some flannel. Measured, and cut an appropriate shape for my mask.

Re: Home made mask liner question
When I used the simplus mask, I made my liners from an old, well-used tee shirt. I also made some from paint rags I purchased from one of the large home improvement stores. I found the pattern for my mask liner at this site:
http://montfordhouse.com/cpap/diy-cotton-mask-liner.pdf
I printed the pattern on a sheet of card stock, cut it out, then traced around it on the material. If you use a large sized mask, you can enlarge the pattern. The size of the center hole can be made bigger, but make sure you eave enough material to go under the edges of the mask cushion. My wife crocheted a small bag with a draw string on it that we used to launder the liners. We would throw the bag in with the whites when doing the laundry, the iron the dry which would return them to the original size and shape. The liners will last several months before you need to replace them.
I also tried making liners out of flannel, but found the old tee shirt worked better. You can get several liners out of one tee shirt.

Knit fabric (t-shirt) stretches, rather than wrinkling,
unlike woven fabric (flannel).
