Pretty much any brand mask can be used with any brand machines with the exception of the ResMed tiny gravel machine the AirMini.
Any brand, any model with any machine.
Thanks Pugsy.

Re: How lomg does it take you to adjust to new mask?

BTW just did the download and the one night with the Wisp the leak rate was much lower, yet the AHI was 11.1. Figures for the AHI/Average Leak for the Comfort Gel for preceding three nights: 1.4/115.7 1.1/121.2 3.9/98.8 then as I say with the Wisp I got 11.1/67 I also felt better for using the Comfo...

I also keep an alternative mask near the bad. Even one nedlessly poor night's sleep is barely tolerab;le IMO.

How lomg does it take you to adjust to new mask?

I am interested to know how long other forum users have taken to adapt successfully to a new mask. I'm thinking more here of people who are already CPAP users who have switched to a different mask. Has anyone cracked it in one night - i.e. felt pretty much the same as they normally did with their ol...

Re: Inexplicable drop in CPAP pressure

Thamks for the suggestions. I went into Encore Basic (I had not heard of Oscar but have now downloaded it and will have a go later) and unfortunately for some reason no recent data appeared to be on the card. Luckily I have an identical spare machine so I have swapped it over to that. I now suspicio...

Inexplicable drop in CPAP pressure

When I woke this morning I noticed that there was hardly any pressure being delivered through the hose. [Settings are currently 7-18]. I turned the power knob on my machine, which should not make any difference to the pressure, but it caused it to ramp back up. Physically, I felt very short of breat...

Re: Going rogue

Thanks for your earlier statement Pugsy. Suggesting someone should be cut open oversteps any reasonable definition of free speech and some people even defended it. It was just plain sick and violent and not in any way funny if you were on the receiving end. Surely it is not in any way disrespecting ...

Re: Going rogue

OK, thankyou. Pressures are all guesswork in the absence of a titration study but I think undertreating rather than over treating at first makes sense. Chalkie, What effect have these changed had on your numbers? Thanks, everyone, who has made helpful comments, and thanks for asking, Jas. The hones...

Re: Going rogue

As you are obviously keen to correct me, could you please avoid language like "suckered" that you used in my last thread. That to me implies either duplicity on the intent of the doctor or gullibility on my part when in fact neither were the case. And, frankly, if you don't even care about misusing...

Going rogue

I have decided to "go rogue" and experiment with pressure settings. I am back on my old machine, the Respironics BiPAP S/T C Series, as there is a power supply failure with my new A40 that I will have to wait until next week (at least) to get fixed. So I have experimented with going from 17-6 to 16-...

Re: New machine: Philips Respironics A40

I think they just use 10 cm PS as standard at this clinic. The nurse is terrified of the unwieldy system and reluctant to go off-piste. They are basically a unit for treating lung disorders. I told the sleep doc I wanted to experiment with settings and she agreed, as long as I kept them informed. An...
