Re: How much did septoplasty help CPAP therapy

I started CPAP after my septoplasty so I cannot answer your question but I will agree with the others that it made my breathing much easier while awake.

Re: CPAP Cannot be Checked Luggage?

I left the international air port in Buenos Aires last January with-out my checked bag after someone else picked it up. So damage isn't the only thing that can go wrong. That is why I carry it onto the plane. Oh, the Delta agent was able to locate it, retrieve it from the other party, and deliver it...

Re: Full time RV with CPAP

You might want to figure out where it will sit at night while you are using it. Look at the bed/night stand of something like a Thor Palazzo 33.2. Most convenient for us hose heads.

Re: Cigna/CareCentrix billing sticker shock ?

If the $130 is the monthly co-pay for the rental until bought, then you could pay $589 to the host of this forum, or 4 1/2 months rental for a ResMed S9 Auto set for her, and have no further rental payments. Of course you will have an excellent machine if you go this route. I'm cheap so the pink ma...

Re: Accidentally put mineral water in my CPAP

Probably better than tap water which may have enough residual chlorine in it to be annoying when you are hooked up to the machine.

2 weeks on the Aranui 3 out of Papeete, Tahiti. Standard cabin with twin beds, a night stand and an outlet above the night stand. I did need a European two prong converter to adapt to American plug. 1/2 half freighter and 1/2 200 passenger ship servicing the 6 inhabited islands in the Marquesas. I j...

Re: Hubby's "I'm stopping CPAP" Experience

I am using the AirFitN10 now and found that the weight of the hose off the side of the bed easily mover the mask and caused some leaks. I had one of these hose clips https://www.cpap.com/productpage/cpap-hose-clip.html that I slipped on the hose and clipped to the sheet on the side of the bed near m...

Re: Can I get some help with a Medicare question?

I am coming up on 5 years on my S9 Autoset. and 2+ years on medicare. I asked my new DME about replacement and he said Medicare wants patients to use the machine until it has a mechanical issue i.e. no blower, blower noises, dead power brick etc. This may be the new normal. The good news is that the...

Re: Can one use clorox disinfecting wipes to clean mask?

I'd be leary of them if they have any Methylchloroisothiazolinone or Methylisothiazolinone as preservative/antimicrobial/antiviral agents. Chronic exposure can result in some nasty skin issues. http://cbsnews1.cbsistatic.com/hub/i/r/2014/01/14/0efe136d-b939-4751-8c00-6bbed0bb330a/thumbnail/620x350/4...

Re: 8000 hours on Resmed S9

Divide 8,000 by some number greater than 4 and less than 10 hours per day for the potential number of days used. With that many hours , I would guess that the patient was somewhat compliant with therapy. Therefore the machine is somewhere between 3? and 7? years old.
