With an SD card in my machine is it still reporting to my Dr?

Post by 32blownhemi » Wed Mar 14, 2018 6:25 pm

Maybe a silly question but is my machine still reporting to my doctor (or wherever it reports to) when I have an SD card in it? Just thought of this! Thank You, Bill

Yes it is. I keep a card in mine with no issues.

The SD card reports to who or what you give it to, the wireless sends to who or whatever, set it up. to stop it you have to airplane mode it or remove it. Jim

the only way the sd card reports anything is if you bring the card to the dme or doctor. maybe you're thinking about the wireless modem that some people have.

LOL, no problem I keep my CPAP machine in a Faraday Cage... My machine is hooked up to the AT&T network which reports to my doctor or whoever. I added an SD card so I can check my progress on Sleepyhead... I just wanted to make sure that adding an SD card didn't cancel my machines reports to my doctor. Live it would only report to one or the other. Not both... I know close to nothing about how computers, SD cards, etc work... Thank You! Bill

I think the cellular modem sends your data to ResMed and it's up to your DME or Doctor to retrieve it when they want it. There is no way for your modem to know what doctor to send it to.

My pneumo wants me to bring my card to my appointment.
Thanks in advance for reminding me . . .

I know my Dr sees my data because I got a call that they may up my max setting remotely. But they also asked me to bring the SC card or the entire machine to my follow up Appt. :?:

I told to his to the DME when I picked up my machine and the tech sort of grumbled that Drs don't think they can see the data but installed on anyway.

So I don't know whats up.

My DME says that the cellular connection was never done for my machine.
My sleep doc reads the sd card--that is all Medicare needs.
If one is new to cpap, insurance might order/pay for the online business,
at least for a while.
