Re: In trouble at Sleep Doc

doctors with booze and drug problems who are still practicing, doctors with depression problems and they are not treating their depression adequately enough with meds to continue doing a good job at work, excessively greedy doctors whom love the money they make but cant stand their patients. There ...

Re: In trouble at Sleep Doc

Interesting, but the sample size is miniscule. Yes, the sample size is small, but there is a much bigger problem. The APAPs were set at pressure 4 - 15 and most people will do better with a higher minimum setting as advocated by most regular members of this forum. If I set my minimum at 4, I would ...

The loudest cheers to chunkyfrog, cathyf, 49er, tan, TangledHose, palerider, Goofproof, Wulfman..., Denial Dave, racprops and bwexler for recognizing the great folly of this proposal. And another big cheer to Snowleopard28, I'm new and have a question for sleepgrumpy. You wrote: When I had an issue ...

Re: Napoli Seeks Surgery For Sleep Disorder

Maybe Napoli should seek the advice of some of the members of CPAPtalk before pulling the trigger on the surgery. From what I've read there doesn't seem to be a lot of long-term gain. Anyway, I thought for older people, I saw information that the success rate isn't as great as what is being quoted ...

Re: Hypopneas

My understanding is the idea of both a chin strap and a collar is to help holds your neck in a better position for breathing IE keep it from blocking the air way?? That is true of a spinal collar but not a chin strap. Chin straps are used with the great hope that they will stop breathing through th...

Re: Ovenyus/CSIRO 3D printed mouthpiece for sleep apnea

Does anyone know how the testing is going? Do you believe this method would work? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiV5LXlbEFA Very interesting. But I don't know that I want to breath through my mouth all night, every night, for the rest of my life. Seems like you would have a terribly dry throat af...

Re: Ovenyus/CSIRO 3D printed mouthpiece for sleep apnea

Some mention of the year 2015 in a site I found. So what will you be doing until then? And then; what if it doesn't work for you ? See an apnea dentist for possible solutions available NOW. That is less than three months away and most people, even present day CPAP fans, go for years before they see...
