Is the humidifier heating?

Thank you for the input! Yes. You're right. The power connection to the machine sometimes does the trick, especially the Respironics System One 50 Series. AirSense 10 is much better.

Once you told me that ramp was on I pretty much figured that was the culprit and only wanted you to turn it off and not mess with anything else.

Humidity level of 4 without the heated hose (and I know you aren't using a heated hose or you wouldn't be seeing "standard" in the hose setting) is on the low side of humidity to be delivered so if your ambient humidity is already up there a little bit then you may not see much water being used up. As long as your nose is happy with the setting and amount of moisture you are getting...leave it alone.
Your nose will let you know if it needs more or less water.

Everything else looks good and I wouldn't mess with anything right now.
Just concentrate on getting that sleep first.

If your starting pressure was higher and you really needed the ramp there is a way to increase the ramp starting pressure and avoid the suffocation that the usual 4 cm starting pressure gives to some people. Since you are using 8 minimum...ramp shouldn't even be needed. If for some reason you end up needing to increase that 8 cm to something else and it creates a problem..then we can revisit maybe adding ramp back but making some changes so it doesn't cause you to feel like you are suffocating.

Good job...now you can just concentrate on sleep and be comfortable doing it.

Thank you, and always thank you, Pugsy, for the prompt and thorough guidance! You're an expert, better than my therapist. I called them yesterday and told them the story, asking if I could return the machine and just got a replacement for the humidifier of the old one. But I was told there was no way to return. Only thing they could do is to setup an appointment and try to work on the settings of the machine. Now it seems unnecessary with your help and I just cancelled the appointment today. Had they taught me the same thing I would not bother to pay a visit. Anyway, will keep you updated about anything worse or better. You're my life saver!

One other question is your tube set the the correct type ? All of my resmed machines came with a slimline tube or the heated tube and not a standard tube?

Good catch! The machine did come with a slim hose but it's tough and thin, so I gave it up after the 1st night and chose to still use my old stuff, the regular hose that I've been using for 7 years.
