Also, when you change the mask or the part in question, soak the new mask (or face piece) in 50% vinegar solution for at least an hour.

I wouldn't do this. When I first started using my cpap I tried cleaning it with vinegar....not a good thing. Left red burn marks on sides of my nose. Use a non scented Dawn soap every night to clean the cushion, it will help, along with some of the other comments.
Funny, I was allergic to the latex (or whatever the material is). You're obviously have a contact allergy to vinegar (even if you eat it in your food). If you have a contact vinegar allergy, obviously this won't work for you! Also, I said only to do this to the face piece, not to any other piece.
No, no, no, no, freaking.....no. Vinegar is an acid. While it might seem tame it is still a pretty strong acid. Getting a chemical burn from letting acid sit on your face under a mask all night does not equal an allergic reaction to vinegar.
If you are allergic to latex then soaking latex in vinegar is not going to do jack shit to help prevent an allergic reaction to the latex. Vinegar soaks are primarily used to break up mineral deposits or to kill bacteria. Your brand new mask seal has neither issue. What exactly are you accomplishing by the half hour acid soak?

My face began breaking out with what I thought was adult onset acne. First dermatologist diagnosed as Rosecia and prescribed a heavy antibiotic for three months. After one month I saw no improvement and my gut tract was becoming compromised. Another dermatologist determined I had facial mites due to my Cpap. He found a topicsl called Soolantra (ivermectin) cream. This worked perfectly and my mottled and pimples skin was transformed back to glowing and healthy.

The cream carries sticker shock of $350 but there are coupons that knock it down to $75.

Washing alone will not kill these little buggers.
Search it out if you have severe acne for no reason.

Take a well washed white t-shirt, lay it flat and place your mask on it. Now trace your mask onto the fabric .... adding about 3/4 of an inch all round. Cut this out and then cut a mouth and nose hole so that you can breath through it. Voila!!! you have a soft fabric between the mask and your face to sop up any sweat or face oils. Karen's padacheek liners are made of much more durable fabric and are made to fit each mask type differently, as Chunkyfrog said, they can be washed and dried almost indefinitely. I have had one for every ffm I have owned and recommend them to anyone who complains about their mask. Hint.. hint.. they also cut the sound of any mask farts and leaks you have. its a win, win!
Cheers

I have never had a reaction to any mask before. I recently started using the dreamwear ffm, which I love. It is the most comfortable one between the headgear and mask I have ever worn. However, I found that I was sweating under it and for the first time I ever I got what I think was a sweat rash all around my mouth. Padacheek doesn’t have covers or liners for this mask yet :( . I cleaned the mask with hypoallergenic wipes daily and used hypoallergenic cleansing face wipes on my face daily. I also used a triple antibiotic cream on my face in the mornings. This cleared up my face, but I did have a hard time sleeping on it until it was cleared up....which wasn’t great for my compliance. I have ordered some liners from a website online sleepynight, com I think that had them for the dreamwear ffm, but I would rather have a cover.

Someone mentioned the other day that the Padacheek mask liner for the Amara View will also fit on the DreamWear FFM.
