Manufacturers respond to SoClean inquiry

Post by Dog Slobber » Thu Nov 14, 2019 7:15 pm

I sent Facebook inquiries to ResMed, Philips Respironics and Fisher & Paykel, asking about their position on using SoClean with their devices.

ResMed was pretty clear about not recommending SoClean or any third-party cleaning device and even suggested exercising caution should I use one. They were non-committal about how it impact their warranty, only directing me to where warranty information was. Reading their warranty, I can't help but believe using one would rise my warranty as it would fall outside of as using a SoClean might be interpreted as improper use.

Fisher & Paykel directed me to email their customer care team. Which I did not do.

Philips did not respond.

Attached are the complete unedited responses with my name redacted.

The amount of energy exerted in marketing is inversely proportional to the quality of the product.
This is a long-standing rule of thumb, which is well worth remembering.

Hot off the press: New evidence that the SoClean gang lie with impunity.

Lying to the public is one thing - lying to a circuit court judge is something entirely different.

I asked tech support about a Respironics Dreamstation I had a foam issue with. They won't say yes or no, just follow their recommendation for cleaning. :(

Isn't that a "no" since their instructions don't say anything about noclean?
