Re: What Do You Think of BMI?
I was hospitalized for 3 days in 1987 when a combination of a long training day (collapsed 8 miles into a run right after 111 miles on a bicycle) resulted in dehydration, which coupled with an estimated bodyfat level of around 3 percent threw my heart into rhythm fits, and messed my blood chemistry...

Re: Mask purchase problem
Oh, that would be great for us CPAPers. Let a bunch of the DMEs go out of business and see how high the prices will go and how low the service will go.If the DMEs can't make a profit, maybe they need to get out of the business.

OK Sludge, so it is only about 40%.
But that 40% is taking up 70% of the sidewalk space.

Re: What Do You Think of BMI?
But the attitudes associated with that word are there -- in the way the obese are treated and viewed -- as smelly, dirty, second class citizens, deserving of scorn, generally viewed as stupid, uncaring and immoral. Most especially, the obese should not be allowed medical care until they have been p...

Why the exclamation point? Do you think you could run a business selling things at no profit? Did you not like to hear the truth from this person?Olivia wrote: Actually one person told me they don't make enough money off of this mask!

Re: Canadians Being Truthful About Socialistic Medical Care
The capitalist ideal is for the business owner to get as much for himself as possible. He does that by paying his workers and suppliers the absolute minimum he can get away with. WTH iddmatnboy??? Capitalism is about markets and voluntary exchange. Absent government interference the capitalist is u...

Re: Canadians Being Truthful About Socialistic Medical Care
Feeling sorry for the poor? Help them find a job. What's your solution for the ones who are working 40 to 60 hours per week and still are in poverty? You will fight for a higher minimum wage I presume? Or how about supporting union drives for wages that will adequately support a couple with childre...

Re: Canadians Being Truthful About Socialistic Medical Care
I'm sorry, but you're the one who is out of touch with reality. Hey, I've made it through a lot of reality. Laid off in 2008 due to recession and industry moving overseas. Was told I would never find another job due to my age, downfall of the industry I had worked in for a couple of decades and poo...

Re: Canadians Being Truthful About Socialistic Medical Care
Anyone in America that will take a shower, comb their hair, put on clean clothes, show up on time, do the simple things that are asked, and treat people respectfully can get a job, hold that job and get promoted or find a better job. Anyone who tells you different is a bleeding-heart socialist out o...

Re: Canadians Being Truthful About Socialistic Medical Care
You've never been poor, have you? Cry me some crocodile tears. I grew up very poor on a rundown farm in a poor rural area. Lived in a rundown farmhouse with a privy 100 yards from the house in the edge of the woods. No insulation in the house and my brothers and I slept in a room without heat. Had ...

Incredible that there are humans who could sleep with that in their mouth. Must be terribly sleep deprived.
