Pressure problem
So I am having an issue with my cpap machine. It’s a repironics dreamstation. My prescribed pressure is 9cm H2O, but when I turn the machine on it reads 8cm H2O. When I go to the prescriber controls I see that indeed the prescribed pressure is 9cmH2O. I do not use the ramp feature so it’s not that. I called my supplier today about it but they haven’t called back. Maybe it’s not a huge deal but when I saw my doctor after my sleep study he said that during my titration study I was still having a significant number of apneic events at 8cmH2O. My life is significantly improved since starting cpap therapy and I just want to make sure I’m getting the correct pressure. Is my machine defective?? I’ll have to call the supplier again tomorrow and hopefully they can fix this or give me a new machine because I really don’t want to go without it.
Re: Pressure problem
How old is the machine. Do a search for manometer here. You can test it yourself

Re: Pressure problem
(I am assuming you have a new machine.) It seems Philips is having quality control issues recently. Just had my 4 month old DreamStation replaced a few weeks ago for a sensor failure. My advice is to be persistent with your supplier until they solve the display problem or you get a new machine. You should not have to go without the correct pressures.

Re: Pressure problem
Does your machine have an SD card? If so, then you can use free software to see everything about your data. Read the three links below and you will be able to view your actual data so you will then know exactly what is going on.

Re: Pressure problem
How is that going to help if, for whatever reason, his cpap is reading pressure wrong?
