Re: The start of my CPAP treatment. 06/05/14
also, I might suggest, set your account profile here to use text, not pictures, because there's about a dozen different machines that look exactly like that picture, and sometimes when you ask for help, it's handy for the person responding to know what you have. fortunately, it's on the report, so P...

I feel better today, but my AHI index went up.. Most of it looks like right after I fell asleep.... I did not wake up once, YAY... Q1: What are the green bands in SH, is that something being flagged? (screenshot 2 and 3 on flow rate) Q2: On the flow rate, there are a bunch of dots above the lines? ...

Re: Take a look at my PulseOx Report
your report looks fine, though I suggest you pick the oximetry report, it tells you more and doesn't waste as much space for someone's interpretation notes as the summary report does. if you can't find something you're wondering about, look at the strip chart report, there's more detail of the readi...

Re: Sleepyhead on Linux
sleepyhead on linux is a real pain in the arse, it seems to be a very low priority for them, (everybody uses macs and pcs, who cares about linux?)... the versions for linux on the web page are ancient and don't support the prs1 well, or at all (not sure which). I've managed to get the current snapsh...

Re: Can you get shocked while sleeping on CPAP
I'd say the chances of getting shocked using your cpap is less than the chance of having a heart attack or stroke because you weren't using it.

having taken apart an elite, a vpap auto, and a vpap adapt, I can confirm that they're all identical inside, the software is the *only* difference. The Latinist wrote: I'm not sure there is any physical difference between the two machines…it may simply be a software difference.

Re: Early morning beeping noise on Resmed S9 VPAP. Any suggesti
I've been woken up occasionally with unwanted beeping sounds coming from my machine during the night. The machine will beep three times in quick succession, then repeat. Has anyone experienced this? If it's a quick fix on my end, that would be great. Thank you. -Chuck- anything on the display when ...

Re: He has no money for a sleep study, so why not --- ?
He asked if there's an inexpensive way to diagnose or exclude sleep apnea. Disregarding that these devices are prescription only (for a full unit, not components), what would be wrong about his trying an auto set CPAP machine, such as the S9 ? If his AHI = 0, would not this exclude sleep apnea ? I'...

Re: Attention Manufacturers! Changes we'd like in our equipment
Some people may prefer to have their machine a bit further from the bed, but still want to be able to start/stop/pause the machine easily. A small basic remote would help. all the machines I've had (resmed and respironics) have had the ability to start and stop when you put the mask on, and take it...

So every night I listen to my husband whistle in an out as he breathes, before pausing for a minute, and gasping and coughing, then whistling some more. Thanks for any advice, I don't want to be the naggy wife, but my understanding is if left untreated that it gets worse. I suggest video of his esc...

Re: Resmed S9 Elite Teardown with pictures
If the pictures are any indication of your cleaning regime... I can well believe that there was dirt on the inside. You have to wipe down the outside of the machine from time to time to keep the dust and grime from entering inside through the little cracks and crevices. Just changing the filters ev...
