Respironics Legacy ASV for sale

Post by CarpeNoctum » Thu Apr 19, 2018 2:55 pm

Hi Cpaptalk,
I am an OSA sufferer, and like some folks out there, I have chosen to conduct my OSA business outside the realm of insurance companies and medical equipment suppliers.

Over the years, I have purchased a variety of machines with the goal of providing myself with a low cost suitable machine. The machines I have bought that didn't work out...I resell. I have sold to several members here on cpaptalk.

I have mixed apnea with a central component, so I only deal with high end machines...that have the back-up ST rate option.

Recently I purchased a batch of three machines. I was only interested on one (Legacy BiPap AVAPS) and have the other two machines for sale.

The machines I have available are Legacy BiPap auto sv and the sv Advanced. Both of these machines were display units and each has less then 100 hours. Long time Legacy users will confirm that these machines are sturdy and long lasting.

If anyone has any interest, please PM me and we can communicate there as needed and without the usual drama from this site.
Thanks for reading,
Carpenoctum aka James

Is the Legacy outdated?

Yes, the machines were made awhile back...but that doesn't mean that they can't provide good therapy. They are very strong machines and I've heard of them lasting well over 10,000 hours. They have the sophisticated auto sv algorythms to treat complex apnea or to use as a non-invasive ventilator.

M series which are newer are troublesome. Series One have weaker motors and are less reliable. I don't know about the latest Respironics. Legacy machines are solid performers.

The one thing that is different is the recording of events. These machines will record events on their SmartCards but I actually don't know how they compare with the newer machines in that regard.

These machines would be perfect for someone already comfortable with the Legacy ASV or with access to a knowledgable person to set it up for them.

Hi Folks,
Just wanted to say that the asv advanced machine has been sold. But I still have the Legacy AutoSV for sale. This is a clean low...under 100 hours machine. This particular machine has no accessories. Just the bare machine and power cord. So if you need humidity...you will need a baseplate, seal and humidity chamber. I will ship this machine to you for $200.

While rummaging through my stuff, I also ran into an old ResMed S7 bilevel. It comes with carrying case, humidifier and power cord and has low hours. Send me shipping money and it's yours. Would be perfect back-up machine.

Please use PMs to contact me.
