Re: OT: Repeating Pattern of Locked-Threads

His name has been mentioned numerous times in this topic. The OP has posted graphics identifying palerider in this topic. Since the beginning of the month the OP has posted non-stop about him and identifying him. His vendetta against him is well known. For you to portray that readers, have identifi...

Re: OT: Repeating Pattern of Locked-Threads

Do you remember the old saying when we were kids?????????????? STICKS AND STONES WILL BREAK MY BONES, BUT WORDS WILL NEVER HURT ME Wise words to live by.....yes. Unfortunately, that aphorism is not actually true. People are harmed by words all the time. Stom if you read back a bunch of pages you wi...

Re: OT: Repeating Pattern of Locked-Threads

As long as we declare Bullying (Anything said about anything), I suggest we use the term in it's correct context, subversion, threat of bodily harm, maiming, or killing . Yeah, no. That can qualify as bullying but it's not the "correct" definition of bullying. Bullying is not limited to assault and...

Re: OT: Repeating Pattern of Locked-Threads

It's having the opposite effect on *me*. Its making me ever more thankful for free speech. There is no reason our words and thoughts should be moderated or monitored online or in writing. We should be forever grateful when we can disagree using WORDS and not resort to physical dominance and violenc...

Re: OT: Repeating Pattern of Locked-Threads

may i suggest contacting the goodman's directly and giving them your complaints? because, it is my humble opinion that "merely" complaining about it here in the forum isn't going to lead to the change you want. Could be, but changing the public sentiment can also have an effect. Not claiming I'm su...

Re: OT: Repeating Pattern of Locked-Threads

OH! so you are merely complaining and not urging any particular action, then? There is no "merely" about it. I think the forum owner should change the board policy and prohibit bullying. Bullying should not be encouraged or condoned, nor does it look good for cpap.com to be associated with it. Brin...

Re: OT: Repeating Pattern of Locked-Threads

so i'm uncertain how bringing up how palerider is nicer on the other board than here has any real relevance. it's been stated that the two forums are different. could you explain? It's stated right in my post. It was a response to Midwest_non_sleeper's claim that "We cannot change who or what other...

Re: OT: Repeating Pattern of Locked-Threads

so i don't know how this is handled there. what exactly are the steps taken to discourage bullying and (apparently) sexual harassment at apnea board? Modding. Just ordinary modding, as most forums use. (I'm not specifically aware of any sexual harassment on either site.) Regular modding tools inclu...

Re: Are full face masks an enabler for aerophagia?

Dunno. All I can say is that for me the mask type doesn't seem to be the issue, rather the pressure does. And oronasal masks can require more pressure to achieve the same treatment of sleep apnea as nasal masks. So, the issue might be more complicated than the anatomy picture might imply. https://ww...

Re: OT: Repeating Pattern of Locked-Threads

I'm sorry, did you just move the goalposts by comparing internet "bullying" to outright sexual harassment in order to better try to prove your point? Nope. It's a reference to people who are considered too "important" to hold accountable. It just so happens that one of the kinds of bad behaviors th...

Re: OT: Repeating Pattern of Locked-Threads

Since you're destined to keep this alive as much as possible, for whatever reason, allow me to expound on a couple of things. 1) He is extremely knowledgeable about the topic of CPAP. 2) He helps an enormous amount of people with factual information regarding their therapy. 3) He consistently corre...

Re: DMV - Driver's License - Sleep Apnea status

If you're using your machine and your therapy is successful (AHI less than 5.0 and sleep time is of sufficient quantity), you shouldn't have a problem staying awake while you're driving. Uhm, yes. Just like you shouldn't have a problem seeing when you are wearing glasses. For CDL holders they want ...

Re: DMV - Driver's License - Sleep Apnea status

No. You don't have to wear your XPAP machine when you drive......only at night when you're sleeping......and presumably you don't drive in your sleep. So, the XPAP therapy is NOT a function of, or necessity while you're driving. At this point it's hypothetical for me since I haven't seen the state ...

Re: DMV - Driver's License - Sleep Apnea status

If it would have been me, I'd have answered "No". With an average AHI of less than 5.0 and 100% usage (which I can easily verify going back to the beginning of my therapy), for all intents, I don't have "apnea". That would be like saying you have 20/20 vision because you have glasses. If your visio...
