Only summary data is available...

Went to download my data today and got this message: Only summary data is available for this date.

This is a new machine to me so is there a switch or selection that I bumped? Or does this just happen from time to time.

I had one session do the same last week.

I also noticed that all of the sudden Airplane mode was shut off.

Any ideas?

SD card maybe left in computer by mistake overnight?
Or SD card maybe not quite inserted fully into the AirSense machine during the night?

OK, I will keep looking. I assume there is no setting I screwed up...

It is an old 2G SD card so I formatted it. Maybe that will help.

No...there's no setting anywhere that affects the detailed data getting written to the SD card.
Now maybe there is a bad sector or something on the old card and the machine might try to right the files to the SD card and the file data gets corrupted and SleepyHead can't read it.

If the reformat doesn't help then I think I would spring for a new SD card if it were me.
There's always the very remote possibility that the new machine has an intermittent problem writing to the SD card but that is rare and usually if that was the problem the missing detailed data would be every night and not random and rare.

When I put the card in I get a blinking red light and a message on the screen that says something to the effect that it is initializing the card. I assume I have properly inserted the card in order to see this message.

I am pissed because I made some adjustments and while the summary data indicated positive results I was wanting to see the detailed data. Oh well, I will keep track and if this continues I will replace the card with a new one.

There are no settings that affect the data written to the card.

if the card's in the machine when the machine is being used, the detailed data is written to the card as the night progresses.

Well, that didn't work...

I put the card in my computer and did a format. Looking closer it appears I did a quick format. Last nights detailed data did not show up.

Today I took the card and did a complete format. Then I copied files to the card. I then opened the files to see if they were readable. I then did another complete format to delete all the data. After all of this I put the card into my machine and laid down for a 20 minute nap to see if the detailed data would be collected.

It did collect the detailed data for that 20 minute session.

I will try it for a few more nights to see if this actually repaired things, but my confidence in this particular card is not very high. I plan to purchase another card and recycle this one.

I was under the impression that these cards were very stable and the information on them would last for a very long time. I am not sure what is going on with this card but it is not meeting my expectations.

Well, that worked.

I am now able to see my detailed data.

While I have this card working, I am planning on replacing it with a new one just to err on the safe side. If this card keeps working I may keep it as a back up but I may just buy 2 new cards and use one of those as a back up.

This card that I am working with is about 15 years old, or so, and was a backup for a camera that I had. I never used it so I don't know if it was ever formatted or not. At any rate I will use this a few days and see if it keeps working.

When I get my new card I will "exercise" and format it to avoid this issue.
