Re: am I getting effective therapy?
Thanks Pugsy, That's what it felt like, but I wanted to check in. Your help has been awesome. I really struggled at the beginning, and you helped dial me in with higher lower pressure, lower high pressure, EPR and a higher ramp. That all helped get me where I can sleep 8 hours and keep the AHI down....

am I getting effective therapy?
Hi, I've been using Airsense 10 for 6 months with all-night use. Pugsy and others have helped me tremendously to dial in the pressure range that seems to help me without pushing into Aerophagia, which I get badly at high pressure levels. I'm running EPR with low at 8.4 and high at 10.4. If I go high...

Re: fib and sleep apnea
I also have AFIB. There are now studies that show a very high correlation between AFIB and apnea. I had two ablations last year (july and Dec) and just came off the beta blockers ten days ago. I am holding steady for now with no AFIB, but I know that the one thing I can do on my end is to use CPAP. ...

Re: central apnea
I think I may have fixated a bit too much on squeezing the AHI down to below 1.0, and that might not be realistic, given my tendency to get aerophagia at certain pressure levels. Some days I wake up to and AHI of .5 and others to 2.4, and I don't know why but probably shouldn't stress it. This site ...

central apnea
You folks have been extremely helpful in the past. I've been on the CPAP for 4 months, and it is feeling normal now. I'm using the ResMed Airsense 10 with dreamwear nose piece. I had a lot of problems earlier with gulping air and bad stomach aches, so with your help, dialed my ramp up, low pressure ...

Re: Airsense 10 autoset battery question
I have Medistrom Pilot - 24 battery; available on Amazon for $329; good for at least 2 nights You can gang this up with another for $199 which isn't a stand-alone setup for a twin pack that goes 4 nights. You'll see these sold separately on Amazon or as a twin-pack for $495. Folks have had problems ...

Re: Heart and Apnea
HI, I have atrial fibrillation (AFIB). I have had 2 ablation procedures to block electrical impulse pathways to the upper left heart chamber. This was causing periodic irregular heart beat. The significant danger of this is stroke. I don't know about your diagnosed issue, but a very close friend who...

Re: First real night with CPAP. Constantly woken by machine.
I've been using my ResMed 10 for 90 days and had similar experiences as you are now having but have made very good progress. My initial settings were: ramp at 4, low pressure of 4 and high of 15. I had a full face mask. I got no sleep for a week and was destroyed by high pressure; cheeks popping, hi...

Re: Air Pressure and Hypopnea please
I'm using the ResMed Airsense 10 AutoSet Ramp time is set on AUTO Mode is Auto Set Minimum Pressure was originally 4, but I moved it up to 6, because it just felt more comfortable Maximum Pressure was 10 until 3 days ago, changed to 11 for two days and plan to move to 12 tonight. EPR is OFF (that's ...

Air Pressure and Hypopnea please
Hi all, This site has already been super helpful in educating me. ON RESMED airsense 10 for 8 weeks now. The first two weeks destroyed my sleep. The high pressure had my cheeks popping, which woke me up over and over, and my stomach ached in the Morning from gulping air. Upper pressure had been 15 f...
