Dry Mouth
I've been using a CPAP for 5 years. The first four I had the older style with two components, one a deep well. At 4 years the motor burned out and I was given the newer style with the snap out well on the side. At the time I was also given a new nose cone which blew air out. I have since gone back to my original nose cone so I don't blow my husband out of bed or sound like a train if the sheet gets over it. But, now I wake up in the morning (and sometimes during the night) with my mouth so dry my lips are stuck to my teeth. I'm no novice user but this NEVER happened the first four years. Anyone have an idea what I should do. My dentist is even becoming concerned. Thanks!
Re: Dry Mouth
Can't you be more specific as to the exact machine and mask you are using...What you describe can be several models

Re: Dry Mouth
I'll be interested in seeing responses to this one, as I'm having similar problems. Often in the night when I awake I find I need to run my tongue between my teeth and my cheeks to get them unstuck. I'm lucky that as a septuagenarian I still produce a lot of saliva, so unless I need to get up for other reasons, I don't always bother to get water when this happens; I just need to move the saliva I have around.

Re: Dry Mouth
hi, donna.
there are several products you can find in your local drug store that will help produce saliva. look for them in the oral hygiene or tooth paste section. my personal favorite is xylimelts.
this is a lozenge that fits between teeth and cheek and will last you all night.
others here will speak to you about machine settings and so forth.
good luck!
