Re: Seeking used battery
I didn't find anything nearly that cheap. Please post a link! I am assuming the issue is that I ignorantly looked for batteries branded for CPAP? Are you talking about car batteries? Are those safe? Are there any heavy metal hazard issues with those?

Seeking used battery
Well, now I know I can't sleep during a power outage. Batteries are surprisingly expensive. Looking to acquire a cheap used one. I have an AirCurve 10V Auto. PM me. Thanks.

ZBox treatment
https://www.zboxforsleepapnea.com/ This is some kind of respiratory muscle training it seems. I use The Breather, and it has helped considerablu with strengthening diaphragm and making my breathing easier. This ZBox sounds like it is supposed to target other muscles though. There definitely are some...

Oventus Exvent (oral EPAP device)
https://dentalsleeppractice.com/product ... appliance/
Nasal EPAP (Provent, Bongo, etc) sucks for me. I could see how oral EPAP might work in my case. Oventus doesn't seem to list a lot of providers on their website to mold this dental device unfortunately.

Re: How to cool air without causing rainout?
I do use the humidifier on a medium-ish setting. I will give pass-over a try. I don't use a FF mask because even that impacts the sinuses for me. What's the advantage of the slimline hose? Greater ratio of hose surface area to air volume, resulting in greater potential for heat dissipation? If so, I...

How to cool air without causing rainout?
I don't use the heat on my tubing. I just use a cozy on the tube to prevent rainout and never have an issue. But on hotter nights my face gets hot and sticky and itchy in my FitLife total face mask. It affects my sinuses too. I do better with cooler air. I would like a way to cool the air coming ont...

This ER doc is saying on camera that if they had CPAPs they could get some people off ventilators and use them for others:

Re: Anyone do better with oxygen instead of CPAP?
I guess I should clarify that I use bilevel with a pressure support of like 9. A lot of that is really to make my inhalation deeper and not just to overcome the little bit of obstruction. Like all my muscles are just kind of weak from underlying general health problems. My rationale is that I wouldn...

Anyone do better with oxygen instead of CPAP?
It occurs to me my issues have been more like every breath is labored and not refreshing, as opposed to apnea events being the main issue. Like before CPAP, I would feel myself on the threshold of falling asleep, then wake up due to feeling short of breath, even though I was conscious enough to know...

Re: CPAP during surgery
My surgery was successful and I didn't use the CPAP in the OR. The anesthesiologist said they take total control over my breathing while I'm out so it's no issue at all. I did spend the first night in the hospital recovering sleeping with my CPAP though which was a big help.

CPAP during surgery
I'm currently bedridden with sciatica from a 11 mm extruded disc at l5 s1 pressing on a nerve. Will likely need a surgery ASAP. Do people get intubated during such surgeries and does this eliminate the need for cpap? I hope they don't depend on me to bring my CPAP which would introduce the host of p...

Re: CPAP algorithm "recoil" mode idea
I very definitely experience this recoil effect. I don't know what is going on with you guys, but in general, I think people have become very disconnected from abdominal breathing and general awareness of abdominal muscles. I'm also very thin, and perhaps mechanics would be different if I were heavi...

Re: CPAP algorithm "recoil" mode idea
I intended for that exercise to be done without a CPAP. Not sure if your being sarcastic about your face being busted. :) When you take a deep breath and then relax, your lungs will empty to the "neutral" point in order to equalize pressure. In the same way, when you exhale past neutral and then rel...
