Philips CPAP accessories discontinued?

Post by dream321 » Fri Feb 23, 2024 12:49 pm

Does anybody know if Philips is planning on continuing their manufacture of CPAP accessories? I use the Dreamwear mask which I like very much, I’m not sure if I should stock up on them if they will soon be no longer available. Who knows, maybe they’ll just sell the patents to someone else.

I wouldn't worry about it. The ResMed equivalent rates higher.

I have seen it happen many times even when the situ wasn't near this bad and (for reasons unknown) they have stopped making someones favorite mask.

IIWM I would stock up while the mask is available.

I also suggest stocking up ......just in case. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not be able to get it.

We didn't think a couple of years ago with the recall that they would stop selling their machines in the USA either.
They said they wouldn't.....yet they just did that very thing.
They now say that masks and other supplies will still be available but I don't trust them.
They haven't done a darn thing to earn back my trust either.

Thanks all for the advice. It seems that the N30i doesn’t have an equivalent size to the dreamwear medium-wide nasal cushion. Could get expensive trying them all out. Probably not worth supporting Philips anymore anyway, since they’ve proven to have very unethical business practices. I’m surprised they haven’t been indicted on criminal charges.

CPAP.com has a 30-day risk-free return policy - https://www.cpap.com/returns#30-day-ris ... ask-policy

If you decide to go this route, use the sizing guide - https://5faacd0c97cf0d23c6dc-064f3cd61b ... -guide.pdf

The N30i Starter pack ships with three different size cushions. so no not all that expensive to try multiple sizes.

The F&P Evora is the hose in front hose style and the sizes are just slightly different than the F30(i) .. they are about a half. Size different and they have a large instead of the wide. The F30s medium pinch the sides of my nose where the Evora large is exactly right.

If you love you mask I would buy a years supply and just rotate through them so you use the oldest one and buy another and so on. Just write the dates on the package to keep track. That way you have plenty of time to switch if they stop and you don't have such a stock that they get old and hard before you use them.
