Hi all
Has anyone ever had problems with massive swelling on cpap? I know I am a large person (109kgs) but it just feels like I am swelling in my face and body. Probably not related but I have only noticed it since starting cpap
blowing up!

Here is one take from one guy on the Internet:
If you are using hyperbole, minor weight gain after PAP initiation isn't uncommon:
https://jcsm.aasm.org/doi/10.5664/jcsm. ... %20peptide.
However, if you have sudden uncharacteristic water retention and face swelling or significant unexplained weight gain, you may need to contact your doctor today.
Significant swelling of the face, in particular, may not be a good sign for your heart and lungs doing such a good job on CPAP, so your primary and sleep doctor may both need to be in the loop. Initiation of CPAP can sometimes uncover/unmask other health issues that can easily then be addressed separately.
That being said, if you are referring to some minor swelling around the eyes, sometimes a too-tight mask can cause that sort of thing.
But your concern is on point, so let a doc who knows you direct and/or assure you. The internet forums can be great for getting info (at least sometimes) but shouldn't ever replace, or come between, you and your doc.

Re: blowing up!
Thanks for that. I may have to consult my doctor about it. I am already overweight but this seems different to that. Escpecially in my face and tummy.
Hopefully it isnt related to my cpap!

May be nothing. But listen to your body. Let's be careful out there. Docs are around for a reason. Might as well give them something to do. If it's nothing, that will be great to know, right?
