Where exactly did you wrap it? How did you get the swivel back on once you put tape? And how does it work with washing it?

Here's an old thread that shows the teflon tape fix

Is the white the teflon tape? Is it on the outside or inside? On the bottom piece, it looks like it's inside...

I wrapped the teflon tape around where the swivel goes in the mask. I did NOT overlap it other than that needed for it to stick and pulled rather taut to thin it out then inserted as normal. To wash it, one will need only get under the edge of it and lift it away. It fits by friction and does not have any adhesive on it.

Why would you even consider dissembling that part of the mask to wash? If the fitting has been suffiently tightened to prevent pressurized air from escaping I wouldn't consider taking that piece apart unless I was hot-swapping the mask in a third world country.

Therein lies the detail. I cited how to do it if one WAS to take it apart to wash.

I ain't a gonna be doin' that

Perhaps wear the aforementioned mask to go get it?

This has turned out to be not just an informative thread, but a lotta laffs as well LOL!

The teflon tape seems to have stopped the squeaks in the swivel on my hose.

I tried KY on my nares to hopefully stop leaks with the nasal pillows, but they were much worse. I guess it's a"YMMV" with this.

Cheers,
xena

I would expect a runny lubricant like KY to make leaks worse. You need a thick, sticky lubricant for the pillows, like Lansinoh.

try paraffin or plain old soap. Take the bar (of either) and rub it around the swivel

Yup, it did just that, like my nose was running over the pillows LOL.

Looks like Lansinoh is the magic stuff!
