I'm a side sleeper and after trying several types of pillows including one with "cut-outs". . . the one that works for me is a mixture of Buckwheat Hulls and foam pieces made by Pur-Sleep. It can be pushed to adjust the hulls so that it fits the side of your face/mask to your liking. You can also remove or add additional filling to accomodate your preference.

Works very well for me!! (I also have a small buckwheat pillow that I stuff behind my back to keep me from rolling over to a supine position during the night.)
