Re: Sticky: Distilled Water vs. bottled water vs tap water
We're talking about a buildup of calcium or whatever in the reservoir. But what about the rest of the machine? Does it go right from the reservoir into the tube that goes to your mask, or does it go through the machine at all and builds up garbage in there. Every 6 months I think I get a new reservo...

Re: Fear around new sleep study...
I have had only one successful sleep study and I have been using a BiPAP since 2003. The doctor that did it then I after I slept a half an hour just set everything for 12 and 8 on the Sullivan BiPAP. My internist and his partners are is very Progressive and they put sleep study rooms and a great RT,...

Re: Apria or Lincare
Hi Bwexler As to Aircurve 10 vs Aircurve 11, first you have to define which of several models you want. I have been dealing with mixed apneas for at least 10 years, so I use the Aircurve 10 ASV. I highly recommend you determine exactly which machine you really want/need. I too was waiting for the Ai...

Re: Apria or Lincare
No the air curve 11 is a BiPAP. I never use it CPAP. As far as sittings, there is a button/dial on top on the right hand side that you need for making the adjustments and to go up and down the menu. I don't have it anymore it fell off and I rode to ResMed on Twitter and they said there's nothing the...

Apria or Lincare
Have any of you found any differences between the two DMEs Apria or Lincare? I believe that Apria is going to get the Air Curve 11 sooner than Lincare. My ENT/Sleep medicine doctor automatically sent the prescription for the new machine to Apria because they like dealing with them and I'm not sure t...

Re: Lincare told me the air curve 11 is out, is it?
The person that I spoke to with Lincare just call me back and she said she spoke to her respiratory therapist and in fact there are none so that's that. I don't get it if they got the approval from the FCC in 2022 I think in June why the hell don't they make these units my S9 is falling apart and I ...

Lincare told me the air curve 11 is out, is it?
I just called up Lincare because it's been almost 10 years since I got the S9 and they said the air curve 11 has been out for a little while now I'm not sure if she confused it with the air sense and she said no no there's also an air curve. Does anybody know anything about this?

Re: Tamsulosin/flomax
If you're experiencing insomnia, lots of things can be going on in your body and in your head but for me I found that if I get into bed and get that mask on quickly and shut off the TV and put on a book, that I'm listening to on my phone, either with wireless headphones without, I fall asleep much m...

Re: Resmed Aircurve 11?
How about if we stop being obnoxious and nasty. We get enough of that ugliness from Trump and his followers. I got my S9 in 2013, almost 10 years ago, so I wasn't looking for new and shiny. There are a few cracks in the S9 and the selector button on the right side isn't working. However, with each n...

Re: Resmed Aircurve 11?
They lost an entire 5 year set of machines. In the 10 years they would have sold the 11 and the 12 soon. I have not replaced my s9 and I got it at the end of 2013. Businesswise it wasn't smart, How many of us are holding back? The AirCurve 10 was released in the middle of 2014, about 6 months after ...

Re: Resmed Aircurve 11?
What can be happening with the Air Curve 11? Has anyone made a successful jump from BiPAP to CPAP after using the BiPAP for 20 years. Yeah I had a Sullivan BiPAP to start with because my sleep study was lousy as I couldn't sleep and they gave me the Sullivan BiPAP with average settings. Over the yea...

Re: Resmed Aircurve 11?
From what I've read, it sounds as though the Resmed Airsense 11 is about out--some are saying August. I know manufacturers often first release the CPAP devices sometime before the Bilevel ones, but having been a Phillips user up until now, I know nothing of the typical Resmed schedule. Does anybody...

Re: Solar Powered Generators-Portable
S9 no humidifier during a blackout if that happens in South Florida plus charging the phone maybe running Wi-Fi but I have a UPS but I have no idea how long that would last. I know this pumps it up to a whole nother level but if the refrigerator could plug into it, that would be nice too. So portabi...

Solar Powered Generators-Portable
Have any of you seen these and are there any special ones that you like, you've got to get it with the solar panel (s) but it could be an answer for PAP machines.
