Re: cleaning routine

Are any of the sanitizing machines good? So the ozone is not good that's 03? And what about the ultraviolet light, is that a waste of money also? Aren't they using that hospitals. They certainly use it on Gray's aanatomy!

Wrote to Mick Farrell ResMed CEO

I got my auto vpap 9 at the end of 2013 I believe but it was July I don't remember. I really didn't want to upgrade to an auto curve 10 because it had already been out 5 years when I was ready so each year I waited and I waited and I waited. Perhaps Resmed has done great things, and I have been with...

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?

I was lucky to check online exactly when some slots opened. My wife and I got our first jab on Jan 14. February 11 can't come soon enough. Surprisingly, there was not much traffic in line for the shot. Stay well. So you got the moderna? I got the Pfizer on Friday 1/22 and they gave ne a 2/19 date f...

Re: it is not possible to get brand new unused cpap machine from resmed

Ask Mick on Twitter. Mick Farrell @ResMedMick CEO of Resmed See attachment if the attachment works. I asked him twice is there going to be a VPAP 11 but no answer. It is amazing to me how they're letting their sales suffer by not offering new machines unless they just really don't have anything that...

Re: Converting CPAPs into ventilators

So, let's say I get Covid 19 but stay at home because there is no hospital space, you are saying I'm better off with the aircurve 10 VPAP than the other of the ResMed BiPAP machines as they are not so good for apnea even though they are better for ventilator type functions. And I also assume you're...

Re: Converting CPAPs into ventilators

I'm long overdue for a new machine. I have been getting the vpaps and the last one was the S9 auto vpap. Would it be smart to get an AirCurve 10 ST-A in case i ever need it and what would it take for a Dr, to prescribe that? I wonder if slight COPD is enough. My sleep Dr. is an ENT and I have a fee...

Re: Converting CPAPs into ventilators

Just a thought. For non-invasive ventilation, the two classes of CPAP - ASV and S/T, can already operate in this mode. No, an ASV is unsuitable, and cannot operate in whatever "mode". ST, yes, *VAPS, yes, ASV, no. S, no, auto, no. I'm long overdue for a new machine. I have been getting the vpaps an...

Re: Central CSA increased after starting APAP

I am not sure if this will help, but check out this link. There are contra indications for Centra Sleep Apneas in some people and it can affect breathing and the heart, be careful. You have a lot of CSAa. I looked into this because I was having a few CSAs averaging 0 to 3 per night. One night I had ...

Re: Resmed Airsense 11 release date?

Today I got a call from Lincare that it's time for a new machiine. I like them a lot after dealing with DMEs for 16 years. I'm doing well with my S9. and what I'm looking for in an Air sense v12 would be an easier way to hook up to larger batteries in case hurricane takes out Electric for 5 days Pl...

Re: Resmed Airsense 11 release date?

Wow 14 years old? Is that the Sullivan VPap, my first machine. Then two Respironics and the S8 and S9 BiLevel auto vpaps I got the S9 VPap in 2013 and I'm waiting for the next release.

Re: Pillow exchange Revival

I have a ton Mirage Activa Large Nasal cushions unopened and probably some masks bodies unopened too. I would be interested in trading for unopened mask and pillows P30i or Phillips Respironics Dream Ware gel Nasal Pillows I guess large. Anyone interested? I have been using the p10 but why not try s...

AHI numbers jumped.

With my auto v9 bipap and P10 mask my numbers have been great. Under 2 for AHI. These are my best ever numbers. Someone was complaining his or her 2.0 AHI was not great. I used to average between 6 and 9 and with the Leaky Fisher Paykel full size mask I used to do over 20 but there were times when I...

Re: Next ResMed Product -- 11 Series?

Why such nastiness to such a simple question . Google doesn't have everything and people here are often more in tuned than the sleep doctors. My S9 is 6 years old and I think the ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto has to be close to 5 years old. I don't want to get a machine that isn't much better than the S9...

Re: Acceptable Leak for Resmed Air fit P 10

When I take off the P10 it can run for 10 minutes. I am averaging 15 on the leaks but on large leaks 160 and I think that comes from when I pull off the mask. if I disconnect the mask from the tube, it shuts off right away. I have a s9 auto vpap.
