Re: Heart Problems
I had been experiencing similar symptoms and what they were were premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), what seems like a pause in the beat followed by a strong beat. They used to occur somewhat frequently and seemed related to an occasional indulgence of alcoholic beverages. When I started CPAC...

Re: OT:::::Medicare Advantage plans "are taking over Medicare and they are taking advantage of elderly patients,"
I realize this post was deemed 'OT', but I was thinking it was relevant to CPAP in the sense that are Medicare Advantage plans possibly making the decisions on sleep studies and what equipment might be dispensed by DME's. I have seen a few posts here that hinted a few DME's may be pushing less expen...

Re: OT:::: Medicare Advantage plans "are taking over Medicare and they are taking advantage of elderly patients,"
Came across this YouTube video a few days ago. I switched to supplement plan about 5 years and glad I did.

I received a paper copy of the settlement via USPS a few days prior to getting one in my email.

Re: Melted plastic smell won't go away
I've have had an empty and heated water tank that gave off the odor. The odor will stay in the hose as well. Rinse/washe out the tank with a few drops of Dawn dish liquid and hot water. The heated hose I put a few drops of the Dawn dish liquid in it and filled it with hot water and 'sloshed' it back...

Re: DreamStation time setup
Not sure if it makes a difference, but would a cell modem be country/region specific. The OP mentioned living in Poland.

Re: Changing settings on a DreasmStation
You mentioned 'ON' button and 'RAMP' button. Unless you're getting terminology incorrect, let's try pressing and holding the 'Control Dial ' (slight click when pressed in) and the 'RAMP ' button' for 5 seconds. :D I had the DreamStation and there are a good lot of settings in there. I suggest making...

Re: DreamStation time setup
I found this post below on another forum board. The poster evidently got the clock to sync when a cell modem was installed and connected to a network. Assuming you could find a modem (possibly used, maybe eBay or similar) and the DreamStation can connect with a cellular network that connects to a Re...

Re: DreamStation time setup
I had the Dreamstation prior to my current replacement Dreamstation 2. From what I recall the time was accurate as reported by OSCAR and events seemed to match up with those of my O2Ring. My Dreamstation 2 also appears to keep good time as well and also seems in step with the O2Ring in OSCAR. I just...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
Must be election time. https://bit.ly/408pTS7 In order to protect patients against Philips’ dangerous breathing machines, Sen. Richard Blumenthal told the FDA and DOJ they must take “the strongest enforcement action possible, including criminal charges, if the allegations are substantiated.” “We ha...

Re: Phillips DS1 vs DS1-replacement vs DS2
What would be the second choice of CPAP machines if Philips was no longer around and ResMed machines were in short supply due to high demand or other availability issues?

Re: Dream Station 2 - flimsy clips on the tank and tank lid
I've had the DS2 about two years now. Have not had broken tabs on the tank lid, however I did buy a spare in the event it ever should happen. About $19 with free shipping on Amazon. Cheap insurance to have a spare as the machine is dead in the 'water' if the tank lid breaks. Interestingly Medicare/...

OT... YouTube 'Medicare School'
There are likely other channels on YouTube that explain Medicare and insurance options, but I found the videos on this particular channel very well presented and may be of help to those coming onto Medicare or already enrolled in the decision making for an Advantage plan or a supplement, as well as ...

Re: Best Time to Take Magnesium for Sleep?
Tried Magnesium for a while taken a few hours before bedtime. For some reason while taking it I was getting up more frequently for bathroom trips. Stopped taking it and the bathroom trips went back to about one in the night.
