Hello
I'm about to go on a trip with my Breas Z2 which I have used a few times before on trips but not for a couple of years. It turns on but the air pressure is just about non-existent. When I removed the Q-lite silencer doodad, the pressure is much higher. ?? Looking inside the Q-lite, it has foam around the edge and filling up the middle. Could that be blocking the air? However, I used it just as it is before with no problems. Ideas? Really appreciate any help!!!!

Re: Breas Z2 Not Blowing enough air
I think, in my desperation, I fixed it. I took the foam out of the Q-lite muffler. There are two pieces. I cut one and with the pieces around my finger, I pushed the foam back into the Q-lite. This resulted in an opening in the middle of the thing. Now the air flows much better. Not sure why it worked before since I know I never did anything to that piece.????

Re: Breas Z2 Not Blowing enough air
Hey Susan, that sounds frustrating! It definitely seems like the Q-lite silencer might be the culprit for the low air pressure. Here are a couple ideas:
Clean the Q-lite Silencer: The foam inside could be clogged with dust or debris. Try gently washing the foam with warm, soapy water and letting it air dry completely before reassembling.
Replace the Q-lite Silencer: If cleaning doesn't work, the foam might be degraded or worn out. Replacement Q-lite silencers are usually available from Breas online or through a medical equipment supplier.
Check for Leaks: While you have the silencer off, double-check for any leaks around the connection point to the machine. A small leak could also be causing the pressure issue.
Here's a tip: Look for the Breas online store or contact their customer support for specific cleaning instructions or replacement parts for your Z2.
Hopefully this helps get you back to a good night's sleep on your trip!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I feel exactly the same way about my Z2. Curious if you feel like the pressure is too high when you're breathing out as well?
